[Theory] The gift that itachi gave to naruto

itatchi is a planner and he realizes Naruto cannot escape genjutsu so he set a trap that will release chakra to disturb any genjutsu that sasuke puts upon him.


Its really simple and while itatchi loves his brother and never could kill him himself, he is dedicated to preserving the leaf also and therefor he gave naruto the ability to escape sasukes genjutsu. Giving the leaf a chance, but leaving destiny to decide the victor.

well it is a theory but if itachi wanted to give naruto anything after facing him twice and realizing naruto loves his brother so very much what else could he give him.

he didn't physically give him his eye nor did he use any seal to add to his power but the same way he gave sasuke the sharingan triggered Amaterasu he would give naruto a specifically triggered jutsu or in this case anti-jutsu. there is a reason kishi has not let naruto see sasuke's sharingan since that time. The trap is set and it can't be released too soon.

no bee's exact words were my partner is within me so genjutsu will not work


naruto has no partner he has just stolen the kyubi's chakra and stored it in a separate place, but he still has to activate its use, the kyubi would to be working with him for him to be immune.

meanwhile in naruto's trance he faces whatever terror sasuke is putting him through probably just darkness cause naruto aint scared of much when all of a sudden it disperses and itachi stands before him they talk itatchi tells him everything that happened and something that only sasuke and itachi would know begging naruto to stop his brother because he is his legacy and if he has lost himself then it is better he is dead. also explaining to naruto his new found invincibility to genjutsu for a limited time only and naruto awakes

at this point a vicious battle ensues during wich naruto recounts all that itachi has told him while sasuke rages more and more calling naruto a liar until naruto reveals what he should not know making sasuke realize that he really spoke to his brother and.... I'm tired of writing but u get the climactic picture right?

Nah if its one of those things only to be used right before death like his dad's 8th seal trap he wouldn't want it to come to that. Or if he was hoping sasuke would change his ways before the battle those are both reasons to hope it never comes to that.

Genjutsu can be broken by having someone 'inject' their chakra into you. As Naruto can use the Kyuubi's chakra then Genjustu won't work.

2. sharingan power (temporary or otherwise)

I really doubt that.

3. ability to put out Amaterasu

Hmm...with Naruto's insane speed he can easily dodge.

4. the bird will fly back out of naruto's mouth and peck sasuke's eyes out (suck it punk)

It maybe the 'Uchiha' path. Maybe Itachi knew of the SO6P and the like and gave Naruto a 'path'. Just my two pence.

Itachi left some of his chakra in Naruto just like the 4th and his mother did and when the time comes Itachi will appear to just talk to Naruto, nothing really special, just a peptalk. Or MAYBE Itachi is in Naruto's mind to help him control the 9 tails with his sharingan....

this is really interesting. i wonder wether kishimoto will be inspired by our discussion here. as i ever found in next door naruto forum, they were discussing tobi's left eye. when the discussion came to the high tension, the episode shocking forbidden technique was released showing madara's right sharngan eye. this episode breaks all asumption of madara right sharingan.

I'm pretty sure what Itachi gave him was a spiritual necklace. Its the third item of a set that consists of the Yata Mirror and the Sword of Totsuka. It would make sense that if Itachi possessed those 2 of the set, he also possesses the third one.

Actually, Orochimaru had the Kusanagi (comes out of his mouth). Itachi had Yata's Mirror and Totsuka Sword. Sasuke had a normal katana. We don't know what happened to the Kusanagi when Itachi sealed Orochimaru and we can assume that Itachi died with his Spirit Items.

Jiraiya didn't have the necklace and Minato didn't either. Itachi might have passed it onto Naruto but we won't know until it's revealed. I believe Itachi did pass on the necklace to Naruto and that's one of the reason as to why Naruto's appearance changes so much simply by controlling the fox's chakra. The necklace can be seen on Naruto.

There's a more detailed thread about this which includes theory of the Yasakani no Magatama (necklace). In Japanese Mythology, Susano'o caused his sister, Amatersu to flee and hide. It caused the world to plunge into darkness. Yata's Mirror and Yasakani no Magatama were used to "lure" Amaterasu out of her cave. Later, Susano'o slays the serpent, Orochi, and obtains the Kusanagi sword. He gives all three items to Amaterasu as an act of apology. The Magatama necklace is also the most important piece of the three.

The theory of Team 7 getting Spirit Items handed to them is laughable. Sakura with the shield? Really?
