Yeah the Sage stopped at Madara and Hashirama. If you're trying to fill in the gap between those guys and Naruto and Sasuke, I don't know if it's really necessary for them to always be inside someone. It might be that there could be a period of time where their chakra goes looking for the right person for their reincarnation.


The closest example I can think of is the tailed beasts. When they die, they're gone for a period of time before they appear again somewhere. The manga never mentions how long it takes.

That's half of what I'm saying... From what I have seen and not seen we know what's possible. Madara obviously has both right now. Sage said it. He said it. His eye's are the product of it. He obviously was using it during Edo. It's the requirement for rinnegan. That's what the sage said. Obito being proof of it not just being Senju DNA but Ashura chakra and Indra chakra
That's my proof.

Go back and look at the Chapter the chakra clearly isn't inside Naruto it's clinging to him.

Hey guys. Don't know if this was already posted here so I'm just going to share it.

I think the former Ashura incarnations were Jiraiya and Minato. I'm veeeerry tempted to say Hiruzen, but I'm iffy about him.

Former Indra incarnations were probably Obito and Orochimaru. His former hosts are harder to suspect, I don't know if he specifically stuck to Uchihas or not. Nagato is also a candidate, but eh.

But, I also don't think 2 of the same incarnations can be alive at the same time in which case it would have went from Hashirama, to Hiruzen/Jiraiya probably to Naruto then. But then... where would Minato fit in? Both Jiraiya and him were called the children of prophecy, right?

As we know, Naruto and Sasuke are the current reincarnations. Before them it was Madara and Hashirama as stated by the Sage. Orochimaru, Jiraiya, Hiruzen, Danzo, Obito, Kakashi, Nagato, Yahiko or anyone at all that was alive during Saskue and Naruto's life could not have been the reincarnations the vessel must die before transmigration.

Ashura and Indra's chakra cannot reincarnate while still in a living vessel.

Read the manga properly. The sage clearly said that the PREVIOUS reincarnations were hashirama and madara, so there was no one in between.
