Re: The Final Villian we all missed. How he's been hiding right under our "noses"

i agree with your theory but if the one that reps the juubi at the temple door is in fact the juubi it would mean that the juubi is just a lesser form of tengu which is the karasu tengu the lower class form befor reaching a dai tengu

You know, I'm glad you brought that up because I noticed that as well and almost didn't include it. The second statue does seem to depict a Tengu, just not Sojobo. But when I researched it, I found that mask could represent a pupil of Sojobo named Ushiwaka-maru. So with that in mind, there are two other possibilities. One, the temple exclusively worships Sobojo, hence why we see the Priest bowing to his image and two, the second statue actually represents the Sage as the "pupil" of Sojobo. Now, when I say pupil I mean offspring in this case.

This Sir, is a very awesome and nice Theory! And I hope that it won't stay just as a Theory. It would be so awesome if this comes out to be True. It would be Mind = Blowing.

One of the better Threads NB has to offer. Nice!

Thank you I appreciate the support!

And yes, this story needs a jolt and I believe Kishi has one waiting. The revelation of "the God Tree" was nice, it gave us something to talk about. But, I think that story still needs to be told in its entirety.

Yes, I made a similar theory before that the Juubi's sapient persona has a name or Kotodama:

I think the Juubi's Final Form has a consciousness/personality, and much like Kurama and the Bijuus, it probably has a True Name itself (though not conferred by Rikudou rather a True Name it calls itself) unlike its' numerous titles/aliases:

Sōjōbō

It is said that the Ancient Ninjas of Japan trace their heritage from the Tengus, one such Tengu stood above all others, the God-King Tengu of Mount Kurama: Sojobo:

The image of Sojobo in the manga was first seen in the Fire Temple:

Sojobo was the King of the Tengus and resided in the forest of Mount Kurama, it is said that the legendary warrior Ushiwaka-maru was taught by Sojobo in the arts of swordsmanship, magic and mysticism.

Here is a famous depiction of Sojobo, one of his prominent tools was the Maho Ha-Uchiwa or the Magic Feathered Fan, and if you look closely at his fan, the Mitsu Tomoe symbol of the Sharingan can be seen:

Incidentally, Sojobo is also known as the Mokusei No Omo or "Lord of the Woods/Forest"

According to the literary classic Gikeiki, Sojobo would sprout plants and trees where he walked, and it was he who created the forest in Mount Kurama as a place to live in (Mokuton)

Like I said before, Kaguya became the Reaper of the Shiki Fuujin:

Unbeknownst to many, the Shinigami of the Reaper Death Seal is a woman:

The Reaper is a Hannya Demon who are all females and solely females.

The Shinigami is also a priestess holding a prayer beads and reciting a prayer before commencing the sealing ritual:

The Reaper's initial stance with it arms spread is a clerical/priestly stance:

You must be registered for see images

Like Rikūdou/Hagoromo's stance:

It was established and well known by now that the Shiki Fūjin required Rikūdo/Hagoromo's Tablet as the catalyst for the Shinigami Mask to unseal the Reaper:

It is because the Shiki Fūjin is Rikūdo/Hagoromo's Jutsu

and the Reaper is most probably Kaguya Ōtsutsuki, Rikūdo/Hagoromo's mother:

As to why Kaguya became the Shinigami of the Shiki Fūjin, Kishimoto has not yet explained or revealed why, either as an end effect of eating the Shinju's fruit or as a mother's sacrifice to aid her son in fighting the Jūbi.

Oh wow, again this is all great. Like I've said to others, Obito is still redeemable. It may not be instant (like next chapter for instance) but eventually Obito will repent, the story has been foreshadowing this for awhile and I am really not sure why people seem upset. That leaves Oro and Madara to which I argue that Oro doesn't represent the "cycle of hatred" needed in the final villain of this story and Madara has no connections to Naruto. This leaves Sasuke, who will be influenced by another, namely Sojobo.

We normally think alike...but there seems to be a point we differ on here. If I'm understanding you correctly, you think the Juubi and Sojobo are the same, with Sojobo basically being the intelligent form. Obviously, this is possible, but there are a few things I think point to something different. The first point I would make would be the fruit. In your theory, it would just be a fruit that happens to grow every 1000 years. The Tree is just tempting people to eat it. I see it differently. It's obvious the Juubi doesn't want anyone to touch the fruit, so the very fact that there is a fruit at all to touch shows that the Tree and Fruit are not in compliance.

The second point I would bring up is the same that I brought up with Orochimaru. If the Juubi were the final villain he would not represent "the cycle of hatred" Kishi has been talking about through multiple characters. Think about how the Juubi even got involved in all of this. He was stolen from, sealed when it attempted to get its power back, split up, and now reborn. It never enticed anything but was seemingly always the victim. The only entity that would fit perfectly the "ideal" villain Kishi has been writing up, is an entity that influenced Kaguya to eat the fruit. This person (or God) would almost single handedly be responsible for the "hatred" we see.

Amazing read for both threads.

Hopefully it comes out to be true; this was really interesting. Great Job.

Yes, that is very possible, and like Eve (cursed with mortality/death) Kaguya was cursed to become the Death God upon eating the Fruit, as for Kaguya's tempter I'm not sure if its Sojobo or..... Sojobo itself is the Fruit.

One thing is for sure: The Shinju/Kaguya/Hagoromo story still has a lot of hidden details.

Exactly, it really has become the most important thing in the story now (that is unless you prefer characters over ideas).

Another thing I think we definitely agree on... the tree blooming is going to be a game-changer. If Kishi is going to introduce another character, the blooming would be the perfect time. I think what's inside is going to surprise some people.

I am sure that the Flower will bloom, for plot necessitates it to, it would be very anticlimactic if it doesn't, but what... Or who shall come out of it will surprise even Madara himself.

How do you think Madara will be dealt with? I'd rather him not be final villain since the most he can do is stalemate Hashirama.

Redemption is inevitable for Madara's character, since Hashirama's flashback was a plot device to humanize Madara, as for his end, I am inclined to think that he will vanish from the stage along with the Edo Hokages, for plot necessity requires the old generation to pass the torch to the newer generation, not to mention that Naruto must still acquire the entirety of Yin Kurama from Minato, it is either that Madara meets his end with his current fight with Hashirama, or, Sojobo will make him perish along with the Edo Hokages.

I'm glad you brought Eve because I was thinking about everything that Tebow Youth Group said about how Sojobo takes many forms and how someone had to influence of trick her into eating the fruit and something hit me. Eve was influenced by a serpent and who represents the Serpent? Oro... Don't count out Oro as the main Villain..

Oh well absolutely, if he exists in the story, and I think he does, then he has been the one perpetuating the problems we see (which Tengu are known to do). As Sasuke's ancestor and the cause of "the cycle of hatred", Sojobo will appear.

Jeezus, Another potential being with power that could possibly rival the Juubi's .-. , anyways thanks for sharing that with us xd

Indeed, like you and I agree with, The Uchiha and Senju are descendants from the Juubi/Shinju since their ancestors: The Elder and Younger Sons are creations from the Juubi's Yin and Yang with Banbutso Sōzō, the Uzumaki bloodline and the Ohzuzuki bloodline are one and the same leaving it to be the one true human bloodline of Hagoromo, once Obito perishes, Sasuke will be the Shinju's last living descendant and Sojobo's potential champion

If Naruto embodies Rikūdo, Sasuke will embody The Shinju/Sojobo.
