Both candidates are terrible, this is a nightmare election. Now, considering that- is the word 'revolution' even suitable when the system has been manifested for the better part of a century? Congrats guys, the 'joke act' has somehow convinced half of America that a billionaire is looking out for the working everyman.
Billionaires are not your solution, self-serving 1% billionaires are your problem.
Hate to slap on a marxist tone to this election but it really is a slap in the face that the bourgeoisie have convinced the working class that someone who has never been one of them, a celebrity, comedy act who is only as much a presence as he is in the media due to the same reasons as the Kardashians or Jersey Shore. To get them to actively think, a non-politician who couldn't care less will be their saviour.
Say what you like about them, Obama and Clinton are literal polar opposites and yet the two have separately denounced the man as unfit to serve as president. DENOUNCING DOES NOT HAPPEN. This is a ridiculous event and a possible first(?) for the country. I don't know my history but the two opposite sides can both see sense.
I hope American society can stop giving into sensationalist media treatment and drama appeal to awake it's social consciousness. Otherwise lol, have fun letting the quick-tempered, immature billionaire sort the racial civil wars, look out for anyone but the upper class and handle the nuke codes. Sure, Hilary isn't presidential material either- but from a Marxist view? The guy from the Apprentice unashamedly ruling over US like a dictator and getting comfy with Putin is straightup textbook.
Cool book that isn't left or right wing: 'Look Who's Back' by Timur Vermes, is a dark comedy about Hitler waking up in modern day and being taken seriously due to entertainment value, shocking tabloid statements and straightup ignorance. Hitler works his way up through the media into a level of authority and whilst it's funny in a book, the real deal is not.
We have more in common with say, Russia or China than we do America these days. It's genuinely sad.
