The Earth is running out of Oil

One day the earth will run out of oil. And gas prices will soar, anarchy will ensue, and wars could possibly be fought over oil deposits. In our life time we will probably go from space travel to 18th-19th century style of living.

Scary huh? Are any of you guys prepared for it?

Lmao. Don't be naive. There are already plenty alternative resources for oil. I'm studying petroleum engineering, and it's pretty obvious that the real reason why petroleum is the most used is because this big powerful company would slaughter any threat to the most lucrative business in the world.

Kind of funny. We've lived on this earth for the longest, and we're discovering new things everyday. Makes you wonder how little we actually know.

Not sure how this is going to be relevant, but I feel like it is in some way.

Humans have existed for roughly 200,000 years and the earliest civilization started about 5000 years ago.

So yeah, with that in mind, it took humans over a 100,000 years to learn to live together. I think that's kinda funny.

And just think.. 20 years from now how far technology, ecology, etc. will have grown. Imagine 100 years from now.. We've not even touched the surface, I feel like humanity has limitless potential; a pinnacle that cannot be reached, because we are boundless.

I was talking to my friend about this issue. We will find other resources in our lifetime. The issue is that we are taking too long to get everyone on board. We even have a candidate for president that believes global warming is a hoax.

If you really think about it, if there really is alien life. We must look like children to them with no purpose. Then again maybe they started out like us, clueless, unorganized, scared, and just plain stupid.
Who knows.. As a species I think we're young and not ready too cooperate or know any purpose yet.

From what I've been taught we should run out of oil by 2055.
Even if we do die before that, lets solve it for our future generations.
