The Door
It was a normal day when I came here,
At the click of a button, I opened a door,
To a world where I could disappear,
From reality to have fun, and so much more.
I’d found my place amongst the people,
In this whole other world, amidst all the rivalry,
There were times when it was chaotic, and peaceful,
But I’d found some people I could call family.
The days went by, some good and some bad,
But all the same, I’d just come back,
In the end, I was really glad,
That there were people at my side, in a world sometimes full of black.
One day, I came back, unlocking the door,
I walked through the place, with all the familiarity,
But for some reason, it didn’t feel like home anymore,
Times where I smiled in this place were now a rarity.
I left for some time, to mull things over,
When I thought about coming back, I asked myself “what for?”,
I may not have found a proper or final closure,
But now it’s time I walk away, and close the door.
There may be a day where I return,
But for now, I’ll walk through the door and away,
You’ve no need to mourn,
For there is no goodbye, I’ll see you all again, some day.
