The baryon technique was stated to be on a completely different level than anything he and Naruto had done before. Kurama basically transformed himself into a physical form and fused with Naruto in order to give him a boost that transcended both of their limitations. When a physical being completely extinguishes its chakra it dies. Kurama was in a physical form when this occurred and he died. Its irreversible. Him and Naruto did not have a jinchuriki/chakra beast relationship at that time. This transformation was more like when Boruto transforms into Momoshiki than a Bijuu mode.
My speculation is that Kurama is in pure land at this point. This has potential because half of him resided there with Minato and was able to return alive and well. If one could travel to pure land and seal Kurama within himself and return to the real world perhaps Kurama would be resurrected as a chakra beast once again.
If Boruto died while still being Momoshiki's vessel Momoshiki would have no choice but to transform into his true self. At this point you would be able to ressurect Boruto with edo tensei using his original body as the sacrifice. If Boruto and Kurama form a contract or whatever the becoming a jinchuriki ritual is he would be resurrected in Boruto the same way his yin half was ressurected with Minato. Its elementary. The Edo Technique may even become pure world reincarnation rather than impure...

Minato and Kurama were in the Reaper, not the Pure World
The edo technique is pure world, but is called impure world reincarnation because the impure world (real world) is where they go to. It speaks of their destination, not their original place.

I was thinking that but when Oro cut his stomach open Minato wasn't there he resurrected with the other hokage. Maybe it's because he performed the jutsu on himself?
