It is really sad but I think that Kakashi has moved on. He spoke to his father in the after life already, his soul has departed. Kakashi was giving hints earlier to his death though, how he was always saying the new generation is surpassing the old one.

Naruto has surpassed Kakashi, Jiraiya, Yondaime, and Tsunade. His generation is the strongest now, and will eventually replace the generation before his. It only makes sense that Kakashi would fall to one of the strongest Akustki members, as did Jiraiya. I didn't think he or Jiraiya would have gone down any other way.

Now just say kakashi is dead wouldnt it be some off the wall shit if sasuke took his eye and could do time space jutsu. But if kakashi dies i think its the start of a war like the manga is about to take a wild turn if it goes down like this

With 73 votes in so far.

The results have been quite interesting. Because it shows that most speculate that he will survive but as to how?

If he survives as most have predicted. Then by whom or what means?

We have the most obvious possibilities and that is Tsunade or Sakura aiding him.
Or the team of medic nins. What else is there?

If you can think of something then please post it.

I agree, the new gen. is going to surpass the old one someday. This is the best way Kakashi can go down, to one of the strongest characters in the series so far.

I think he is dead. Naruto could not feels his chakra anymore, and tsunade lost her concentration when she tried to heal him, so i think it is the end of the Copy Ninja.

As far as Kakashi falling to Pain goes...

Thing is... even then, Kakashi escaped Pain. He gave his life to save Chouji instead of continuing to play dead. He would've been rescued by katsuyu later on anyway.

One major thing that keeps Kakashi from being dead so far is that the slug continued to remain on Kakashi even during Pain's destroying of Konoha.

Also his sacrifice was something of a waste because the only time Naruto could really use Kakashi's found information was when the village had been destroyed already (and the slug was still on Kakashi). He could've told him then or even communicated through the slug.

Also, Tsunade seemed to use up a lot of her chakra when she got to Kakashi (which indicates to me that he's getting help). Will he pull through, she can't tell and that's why she's not saying anything.

And NO ONE yet has said Kakashi is dead (Yondaime in particular is odd because Kakashi is his lead student).

i agree with Ninman. I tend to believe that Kakashi is still alive, if only barely. I believe that if he is to die it will be after Naruto finishes the fight with Nagato, and he has a chance to speak with Naruto and some of the others of the village. My belief is that he is still alive, Katsuyu still being on his shoulder lends to this, you would think that if he was dead, Tsunade would atleast know by now and would have shown some reaction. But this is all guess and conjecture, there is no telling what will happen in the future. I will be reading to find out though.

Kakashi is a legend. You dont have to be super strong to be a legend. In my eyes someone who died to save fellow shinobi/friends is a legend. And he isnt dead.....not yet.

kakashi doesn't have to be overly powerful. His strength lies in his ability to plan ahead and to, through the help of his sharingan, assess a situation and decide almost instantaneously what course of action to take. In this respect he is a legend. More things than physical strength and ones ability to defeat opponents make up a legend. Legends inspire people, they lead, and give strength to those around them. They are immortal in the since that they will never be forgotten. Hatake Kakashi is a legend.

As the saying goes: "Heroes may come and go, but legends live on." Thus Kakashi lives on.

He wasnt popular???? Even through in the manga, anime and movies the enemy would always know him "copy ninja" and they would always say he would be troublesome. No one can say Kakashi was a weakling and unpopular.

I didnt say he's a weakling either. And yes, he was quite popular but not a legend.
