The movie was fantastic. It's easily the best movie that's been released in years. Tom Hardy as Bane was better than Heath Ledger as Joker and Cat Woman was played extremely well with spectacular development. And Anne Hathaway has a surprisingly great butt. Alfred's role in the movie was understated, yet incredibly important. The very end was completely predictable, yet still said so much about the entire inter-character relationship. The last 10 minutes has so many plot twists and turns that just makes it unbelievable.
Overall the best movie I've seen in a LONG time.
To Christopher Nolan, I bequeath some ice cream unto you. :ice:
yeah i agree the movie was incredible, but its veeerrry hard to top the joker roll in the dark knight. The only problem i had was the survival of the explosion, only those who saw it should know what i mean. Other then that, amazing movie.
Sounds pretty awesome, I'll watch it on Wednesday. I'm not that much of a DC fan, but if you imply that it's better than the Avengers, it's a must see for me.
The Avengers doesn't hold a candle to any of the Batman movies in the new trilogy. Avengers was just action-packed with a lot of stars. Batman has epic storylines and incredible plot-twists. It was still a good movie nonetheless but the Batman trilogy is numerous times better..
This move was mediocre at best. I don't know why you guys are overhyping it so darn much.
I just came back from the cinemas. I won't go into depth in to this cause it's 3AM but I will point out a few things.
THE PLOT SUCKED.
It was so obvious that the chick was the person who climbed out of the prison. From the moment I saw the scar after she and Bruce had ***, I knew what was going on. It was also obvious that Bruce would do a 'Sherlock Holmes' and feign his death by moving the bomb out into the ocean. We've seen it time and time again, the same freaking story-line. It wasn't even fleshed out properly, it was more driven to a large-scale catastrophe rather than it being a GOOD STORY
The acting was good, alright but not GREAT NOR OUTSTANDING! all you had for 165 minutes was a moody Christian bale, a moody Bain and shameless sexing-up of Catwoman. There was NO humour in this film. NONE, NOT ONCE DID I GIGGLE OR SMIRK I was just sitting there watching this wannabe-gritty and dark film. There was no blood, no gore and next-to-no atmosphere.
The prison was made out to be this unearthly place where no light was ever shone but when it go to it, there's a freaking hole that illuminates the prison. How is this meant to be atmospheric? It had no redeeming factor and didn't live up to its tale
I could go on but I'm too tired.
@Sasha: Are you referring to the scene in the prison? Right after his vertebra was just clicked in to place? That was so idiotically cut in. It had no fluidity it just appeared out OF NOWHERE. I was sitting there thinking "what the hell? where did this scene come from?" It was so out of place and cliched to hell.
LOK: Epic Storylines? Incredible Plot-twists? Wow... I don't know what film you watched.

I agree with this. The Dark Knight was great, but The Dark Knight Rises was a massive let down. Not only did it lack the suspense that The Dark Knight had, but it was painfully long with nothing going on for most of the film.
