i played it for a long time, not very into cata, but the old LK was killed at the end of the last expansion and replaced by another person, that picture is of the new non-evil Lich king named tirion fordring.

Basically,

It's pretty good, the pop out was done smoothly and done professionally, the light near the bottom of the lich king, is a bit.. icky I guess, not right to me but it's not too noticeable unless you actually look at it.

9/10 Just the orange light doesn't seem right.

ah your right, sorry i stoped paying attention after killing LK for like 6 months lol.

its not "still" ... I did it that way :/ gives alot more feeling of depth than with them out + in render they were half cut, so i have put them inside

Yep its the LK, Tirion is some side character I was also confused since there is lava/fire on the LK who should be considered with Ice >.<

Basically Bolvar Fordragon Died at the wrathgate (one of the enterances to Icecrown (the area of the lich kings fortress)) But the lich king gets his minions from resurrecting the dead. To stop this after the massacre, the dragons flew over the battlefield and burned the corpses of the fallen thus giving Bolvars lava appearance. But Bolvar didn't die and was captured by the lich king and tortured. When you kill the lich king Bolvar has to take the lich kings place as the scourge (the lich kings undead army) would cause chaos across the world without a leader. So bolvar takes the position and freezes himself on the lich kings throne and keeps the scourge in check.
