"Let's play a little game, shall we, Team 6?" said Raido, trying his hardest to supress his grin to a smile. "I got the idea for this game from our leader, the 3rd Hokage."
Toshiro, Hizashi, and Mikoto perked up for a moment at the mention of the Hokage.
"He said that he did this with his students, so I've decided to try it with us all, but with a slight variation," said Raido, eagerly. "Now, in the 3rd's game, the point is for his genin team to retrieve a bell from his belt, or they don't get lunch. Usually, this is done in the forest, or in a field. But, my idea is to take it to the city; to the rooftops, and the alleyways." Raido held up two bells.
"Umm, sensei, there are only two bells there," stated Hizashi, with a chuckle. "Looks like you forgot one."
"Very perceptive," stated Raido, a bit blandly. "No, I didn't forget one: only two of you will receive lunch. Come at me as though you want to kill me. Those are my words of advice."
"WHAT?! Only two of us will get lunch!? I must have lunch!!!" screamed Hizashi, as he activated his byakugan, and charged at Raido. He attempted a few palm strikes, which Raido easily dodged with his hands behind his back.
Raido grabbed one of Hizashi's wrists mid-strike, punched him in the stomach, and flipped him over onto the hard concrete roof's floor. "I didn't say start yet, damnit!!!" yelled Raido. Raido's clone poofed away, and from the city rooftops he could be heard yelling, "START!!!"
Mikoto and Toshiro immediately sprang into action, jumping onto separate rooftops, as Hizashi struggled to his feet, rubbing the back of his head.
Toshiro crept along his chosen roof, of some residential building. With his back pressed against the roof door-entrance, he peered around to the other side of it, and caught the slight glint of a Konoha forehead in the distance. He took out a pair of binoculars from his bag, and made out the outline of a flak vest. "Gotcha," he mumbled to himself.
Toshiro sprinted towards to edge of his roof and jumped off, grabbing onto the railing of a fire escape. He pulled himself up, and jumped up to the ledge of the next roof. He sprinted towards the edge of this roof, and slid down a clothes-line, landing on a rooftop just behind that which his sensei occupied. He'd landed just behind his sensei, and was staring at the back of his flak vest.
Toshiro took out a half dozen shuriken, and threw them at the figure of his sensei immediately. He made a few handseals, using "Shuriken Shadow Clone Jutsu", causing about 3 dozen more kunai to appear mid-air, all headed for his sensei.
They all hit their target, which crumbled to the ground. Immediately, Toshiro hopped up onto the ledge above, and did indeed see a green Konoha flak vest pierced by shuriken, but there was no body.
Toshiro was bewildered, and from behind him, his sensei appeared, holding a giant conch-shell mace. Raido hit Toshiro in the chest with it, sending him flying across the rooftop. Toshiro landed on his stomach, but what still sliding across the floor, unable to slow down. He clawed and clawed at the ground, but couldn't catch a grip.
Then, he felt a falling sensation.
