Really good solid point but i do not agree that the sage is an Uzumaki
1st Sage i believe does not belong to a clan but his sons do
Uchiha and Senju
the Uchiha as it is and the Uzumaki are far blood related to the Senju so Uzumake are long blood relatives to the senju ancestor so Uzumaki are Looooong-Blood Related to the 1st sage but thats it.
and 2nd sage is Uchiha Madara so *Uchiha*
3rd sage is Uzumaki Nagato *Uzumaki*
4th Sage is Uchiha Obito *Uchiha*
5th Sage still to come but i'm 100% sure he will be Uzumaki Naruto *Uzumaki* to complete the Uchiha-Uzumaki Cycle
besides the sage of six paths is referred to as the *Creator* of the ninja world so in MoP he's the creator of the clans in some way

Damn solid. I have to add something that got my attention when you mentioned the shape of the eyes of the Elder's Son, the Rinnegan and the Sharingan.

If the Sharingan was the result of the hatred had the Elder Son's against his younger brother, and the Rinnegan was the result of the Jûbi's corruption due to hatred...

That means that circular shapes on the eyes represents pain and hatred. Furthermore, I would bet for a circular shape being the representation of a cycle... "the cycle of hatred". In the other hand, the Uzumaki's Seals (the same pattern as the Elder Son Eyes) would represent a limited-time Hatred, or maybe... the path to end hatred, that is, the current Naruto's purpose.
