sarutobi could tell he had malice and ambition but he ignored it because oro showed so much promise and talent and he couldn't afford to let that go during war times and hoped he would change so he could be hokage after sarutobi retired/died (whichever came first)

another reason his twised idealogy.Sarutobi could tell he still wanted to be hokage for all the wrong reasons, to gain power not to protect anyone but himself.
Even when oro was with the sannin fighting in the war and the 3 rain orphans came up to them requesting help his first respone was suggesting to kill them because it sucks to be an orphan, does that sound like something a hokage would say lol?
so yeah he saw oro was mentally not suited for hokage even as a little boy.

Thnkz, good points and it was good to look back,...o and i bet know they listen to him by killing the orphans. But what i can say is that oro had to ability to sense and predict things that many others couldnt do. He could sense potenial threats and promising ninja. Therefore, tho his ideaology was wrong was to be Hokage, Oro was the genius of his time lol [just figured i'd state that]

lol you mean about killing nagato when he was little? Idk if he wanted to kill them because he thought they'd be a threat so much that he likes killing people lol, it would have saved the leaf but he only ended destroying it because Hanzo and Danzo tried to kill yahiko konan and him when they were trying to bring peace to their home country which set him off the path of good. But then no one would have ever defeated hanzo and his army unless naruto ended up doing it sometime.

I think Orochimaru is one of the strongest ninja in the manga by far.
His death was not fitting for someone of his caliber and i wish to see him in action once again.
I know we will all see him soon enough taking over Kabuto's body.
I believe something similar to the Sasuke vs Itachi fight will happen when Sasuke exhausted his chakra he could no longer hold Orochimaru back so he was free again.
i think the same thing will happen to Kabuto, he will exhaust his chakra from using IWR and Orochimaru will consume the rest of his body without no resistance.

Iagree, his death was very degarding of someone of his caliber and should have faced someone at his full strength. He was basically cheated
