it all sounded good till you dissed wakka:|

he might not be the best but he is areal cat period
i like the song f**k the industry cuz the industry is what made lil waynes image;)
its hard to listen to waka, even if he came from the hood and is being real, he should at least try to sound like he wanted an education, or have a thought process, i havent heard much from him like i said because its hard to listen to but maybe he should rap about how to fix some problems instead of i have guns, i do it for my hood and i dropped out because they killed my friend

Worst: Gucci (Lemons) Nuff said......When you put out a song where the only word I could understand was lemons, can't even make the list

Nelly: He could sell a song but if we talking about "rapping" which I think we are, lyrically he's no where near the top, barely in the middle if that

Waka: Same as the two above, all these artists can sell records but they aren't up there when it comes to the best

Now for the list, which is long....I just wanted to put some mainstream guys that I didn't care for with at least some example.....And don't get me wrong almost every artist has at least one song that I could listen to but my biggest thing is lyrics and everything that goes into them

Bubba Sparxxx, Mike Jones, Hurricane Chris, Soulja Boy, Nick Cannon, Young Joc, Lil Boosie, Chingy, Bow Wow , Paul Wall, Ja Rule, Dem Franchise Boys, Plies, Birdman, T-pain (if you count him, I don't really), There's more but I'll stop here

Best.....Top 3 w/ reasoning (Not in order, still living otherwise we'd know how this would look)

Eminem: Hate him because he's white, or because he's crazy but no matter how you look at it he's epic. He sells records and he makes songs of substance not to mention the way he twists words and uses them without making them sound stupid is insane. If you were to ask rappers today who's the best lyrical artist most would say Eminem. Not to mention his last CD he pretty much called out the entire rap game and no one respond. He just knows what he's good at and what he's doing.
Song examples: Lose yourself, Stan, Without me, Guilty Conscience, and When I'm Gone (Like the other artist there's many more but I feel like these songs give you the most range of what he can do....Newer stuff is more metaphorical, sounds like todays stuff)

Lil Wayne: Some people may debate this but theres a couple things that demand Lil Wayne to be on here. One he makes more music there ANY artist. He just does, it's slowed down recently due a lot to legal troubles and work on the Carter 4. I know that he does a lot of collabs and that he attempted rock, but inbetween his weirdness and his crap work he's made some epic songs. Also when it comes to metaphors Wanye can't be touched
Song examples: A Milli, 6 foot 7 foot, Upgrade U, Gossip, I Feel Like Dying

This one's probably going to get the most hate but whatever

Kanye West: Now instantly I know your mind went to 808 and Heartbreaks he should apologize to his fans for that nonsense. But when Kanye first came out and shortly after before his head blew up and he started drinking and hurting young white girls feelings he made some amazing songs. If Kanye goes back to Kanye things will get interesting in rap trust me. I still have faith that he will return to his former glory.
Song examples: Roses, Touch The Sky, Jesus Walks, Hey Mama, All Falls Down,

Other artists I believe are good, and on the rise
J. Cole, 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks, Game (Watch the beef him and 50 are gonna be going at it again soon) Lupe Fiasco, No Genre B.o.B, Talib Kweli, Young Jeezy, Ludacris (Sometimes), Kid Cudi (Sometimes), Mos Def, Fabulous, T.I (Sometimes), and Many Many More

This is all my opinion I know I'm not right and I am positive I forgot some but say what you will I won't judge.....I'm excited for feedback...:)

P.S. I LOVE RAP!!!! Ha

I already be knowing about Infinite haha Yeah I'm not sure why many people don't know about it.....I mean I know it's kinda small but you'd think people would do a "little" research hahah But it is epic.....If you listen to that now you'd be like no wonder Eminem's big!!!

Flame me and I'll kill you.

My thing is, Hip-Hop and Rap are separated into three categories.

Good, Bad, and stuff you listen to at a party, club, or blast in a car when your in the back drinking Moscato. There is a time and place for certain songs.

My favorites, and it doesn't mean I listen to ALL of their songs or LIKE all of them:

Drake.
Lost Boyz
Wayne
Biggie
Pac
Wiz (see my avatar?)
Kid Cudi
50 Cent (You know we don't give a **** it's not your birthday)
Cassidy
Blade Icewood
Eminem
Ludacris
Lupe Fiasco- Words I never said went hard.
Freaky Tah
Nas
Scarface
Ghostface Killa
Wu-Tang
Jay-Z
Snoop-Can do a perfect imitation of him. Same with Biggie haha.
Rick Ross- I actually sound a bit like him.
LL Cool J- Who doesn't wanna **** to Doin it well?
Big Pun
Quan
Left Eye from TLC, rest in peace, her death was graphic and the video is even on Youtube.
Missy Elliot's old stuff.
Lil' Kim
Jadakiss
Jeezy
Chino XL
Saigon
Beanie Sigel
Sam Adams
Asher Roth
Waka
NWA
Naughty By Nature
Will Smith's old stuff, who can't appreciate the Fresh Prince theme song?

Who deserves SOME recognition? Nick Cannon. Yeah, he's whack in almost all of his songs, but his song "Can I Live" which touches on abortion was pretty good and heartfelt.

And please, half of you that say you hate Soulja Boy can do the dance to Crank That Soulja Boy perfectly... No lyrical content, but he's a club rapper.

Worst?

Hmmm.

I don't like Tyga that much. Some songs he's featured in with Chris Brown, such as "Like a Virgin" are decent, but overall, I can't really say I like him.
Bubba Sparxx-Miss New Booty was the shit back in the day though.

I can't hate on too many rappers because if they are being recognized for what they do, then that means that there are people that like their music. They get paid millions, do you think they care if people like us bitch about them?
