Because the old ones suck, compared to this one.

Well, first of all, it's seeming pretty awesome.

As much as I enjoyed the previous trilogy, it was terrible.

This new reboot is going to follow the comics much much closer.

• Peter's going to make his webshooters and not shoot them out of his damn wrists (*rolls eyes*)
• Gwen Stacy will be portrayed as his first love interest
• They're actually going to shed some light on Peter's parents' fate (in the comics they were apparently CIA agents working under Nick Fury at the time)

In other words, this is going to be a film with the "comic book Spider-Man" rather than whatever that was in those Maguire movies. Also, I find the timing of this random reboot to be more than coincidence. If anything, they did it to find a way to tie Spiderman into the Marvel Universe films. It's something no one should overlook.

I think it's looking a lot better than I believed it would. The big sketch for me is that it's taken in 3D and is not just a transformation. Some of those moments look like they would be absolutely amazing in 3D.
I'm even beginning to like the outfit...a little.
