Chapter 3: Light
[Review on last chapter]
Note: I want to apologize for the unfortunate late release as I would have posted sooner but I had too many things going on at once and simply was unable. I will be releasing 4 sooner than the usual week in between in an attempt to make up for this gap -_-
Kotetsu: Really?!
Izumo: *Sigh*
Mei: Yes *giggle*
Kotetsu: But how did yo-
Mei: You mean know what she wants? Well I guessed-I don't know what it is exactly but I know that it is something..like an object for example-I think an item that is hidden would have to be somewhere I don't know..naked to the eye. I'm thinking somewhere like the most obscured. However, the night is upon us and it will be impossible to search at this time-we can resume in the morning..
Kotetsu: Thank you!
Narrator: His heart racing, he couldn’t help his aroused tone of voice.
Izumo: *Sigh*..Thank you for your hospitality
Mei: Its my pleasure..
Kotetsu: (In thought) She makes me feel like I cannot control my impulses!
Narrator: Accepting her offer, she then leads them to a small vacant home.
Mei: Make yourselves at home and inform me when you’re ready..
Kotetsu: Yes Mizukage-sama!
Mei: *Giggle* Good night-
Kotetsu: Goodnight!
Narrator: An annoyed Izumo began to settle in and viewed only one bed.
Izumo: Hey love sick puppy!-There is only one bed..
Kotetsu: Eh!!!-Rock papper scizzors!
Narrator: Rock is first thrown by both as one then chooses rock and the other scizzors.
Kotetsu: Shit!
Izumo: So you couldn’t focus because you had the Mizukage on your mind..hmm
Kotetsu: Shut up!
Izumo: Good luck on the floor..*chuckle*
Narrator: In a matter of minutes; Izumo fell fast asleep but Kotetsu had a tough time finding his sleep due to the hard floor even though he laid on a mat. He eventually succumbed to his fatigue of the long day.
Izumo: Kotetsu!-Wake up!
Kotetsu: Huh..ahh-my neck!
Mei: I apologize for the sleeping arrangements..
Kotetsu: (In thought) Mei-sama..oh no!!!!!
Narrator: His eyes largely widened as he quickly wiped off the drool in which had ran from his mouth along the other side of his cheek and he turned his face from her in shame as he got up.
Kotetsu: Why are you-
Mei: Izumo-san had already awoken and alerted me
Kotetsu: (In thought) Why you!
Mei: You get dressed..freshen up and meet us at my headquarters-its the biggest building here..you can’t miss it..
Kotetsu: Of course Mizukage-sama
Narrator: As they exited, an image of Kotetsu ringing Izumo’s neck entered the half awaken cramped shinobi’s mind as he raced to gather himself. By the time he arrives, the sight of his partner and the Mizukage laughing with each other and looking out into the sunrise invoked a mixture of anger, jealousy and nausea.
Kotetsu: (In thought) Damn you!
Izumo: Kotetsu!-That was fairly quick compared to how you-
Kotetsu: (Shouting) Shut up!
Mei: Oh!
Kotetsu: I apologize-its just the pain in my neck-
Mei: No..no need to-just follow me!
Narrator: They proceeded behind her as Izumo pulled out the special fragment once more in preparation.
Mei: Isn't the scenery beautiful?
Kotetsu: Very-
Mei: *Giggles*
Kotetsu: (In thought) Actually these surroundings appear eerie and it feels chilly..
Narrator: They pass through the usual misty air and various fields and hills soaked in dew before reaching a location containing the most mist which wasn't far off from the high mountains.
Mei: Here..I think it may be somewhere around this area...
Izumo: Your right!
Narrator: The special jade-colored fragment began to rise and glow indicating another gem's whereabouts. Suddenly a small geyser spouts from underneath the wet land illuminated by a bright blue light.
Kotetsu: There it is
Izumo: Finally
Mei: Its pretty..
Narrator: As the fragment reacted heavily, the sapphire-like colored gem rose to the top of the geyser and Kotetsu moved in to recover it.
Mei: Well I wonder what might that be for..
Kotetsu: We-
Mei: I understand-I shouldn't even be here..
Kotetsu: Its okay-you even helped us to locate it faster..
Mei: Thank you for allowing me to assist you..oh! I will quickly arrange the boat ride back to...
Izumo: Kaminari no Kuni
Kaminari no Kuni Translation
Mei: Oh so this is much bigger than I initially realized?
Izumo: Yes
Mei: I see..well this was fun-you two just wait at the coast and good luck
Izumo: Understood and thank you again..
Mei: You’re welcome
Narrator: She heads out towards her headquarters as the Konoha pair set out for the pier.
Kotetsu: It pains me to have to leave her..
Izumo: Please..whenever you see another cute female you’ll just revert back to lusting again
Kotetsu: Hmm!
Narrator: They eventually arrive at the pier and await for the boat operator. Several moments pass and the boat can be seen.
Izumo: Look!-The boat’s in view!
Narrator: As they enter the boat Kotetsu went into a trance of Mei images before Izumo called out to him.
Izumo: Oi!
Kotetsu: Sorry.....ah..I wonder what awaits us at the rebelling Thunder
Izumo: I'm sure that Tsunade-sama must've had trouble clearing us through-
Kotetsu: Nothing less would be expected..
Izumo: We need to put our differences behind us if we're to complete the mission there-
Kotetsu: I understand..
Boat Operator: There is a storm brewing up ahead..
Kotetsu: I can barely see that far ahead-
*Eyes squinting*
Kotetsu: Oh that does seem bad-
Boat Operator: Braise yourselves as we may have trouble..
Kotetsu: Oh shit!
Narrator: Dark gray-colored swirling thunderclouds surround the coastline. Izumo then stands up and prepares for a jutsu.
Boat Operator: No need..
Izumo: Why?-
Boat Operator: Ranton: Kagayaku Joubu no jutsu!
[Jutsu Insight]
Kotetsu: Thanks-
Boat Operator: I wouldn't be able to get anyone across if I wasn't able to protect the vessel in which to complete the process..
Narrator: Violent thundering clouds can be seen as they drew nearer. Bright lightning stroke throughout the monstrous clouds and the powerful bolts that crashed down upon the ocean. A bolt of lightning strikes the roof-like jutsu before being canceled out.
Izumo: Impressive..
Narrator: Powerful waves proceeded to crash into their boat however due to the operator’s experience; they were able to overcome it and before long, arrive to Kaminari no Kuni. Upon departing, Izumo quickly exchanges words with Kotetsu.
Izumo: Nightfall won’t be too far off therefore we don’t have much time to search-we must also be alerted at all times as these shinobi are ruthless..
Kotetsu: I know-
Izumo: Lets get a move on!
Narrator: Izumo pulls out the special gem and so begins their long descend into the vast mountainous land.
Izumo: We’ve been searching for about an hour or so and nothing-
Kotetsu: And its practically night
Izumo: *Sigh* There’s no helping it-lets set up camp
Kotetsu: Right!
Narrator: The pair pick a spot next to some mountains and prepare themselves for the night. The next morning Izumo has already awoken and after gathering his belongings; he began to wake his partner.
Izumo: Kotetsu-wake up!
Kotetsu: Uh..I hate waking up early..
Izumo: Lets go!
Kotetsu: Yes-yes..
Narrator: As Kotetsu began preparing himself, Izumo pulled out the special gem and quickly surveyed the land once again. Once his partner was ready, they then ventured out. As they paced through the land, the landscape gradually became valley-like consisting of an elongated depression between hills of mountains surrounded in clouds.
Kotetsu: This land is like a maze..
Izumo: Seems like we're approaching something!
Narrator: Unaware, the two headed towards the location of Unraikyou.

[This is the translation I’ve come across-Valley of Clouds and Lightning However, through my own research looking up each kanji individually I deduced it to Cloud Thunder Gorge and it is what feels more right in my opinion]
