Yamamato can erase anything in existence with his bankai, he takes this if ywach can't steal his bankai

Then again yhwach is overpowered as hell. One thing is for sure, ichigo will get some new power that'll surpass yhwach's

That's because yamamoto used his power against a clone.
The only upside the Ichibei had against fighting Ywach was that Ywach could not make his power of black his own. Yammamoto had his bankai stolen from him and from what we know is still in Ywach's possesion. Now im not saying that based off of raw power that Yamamoto can't defeat Ywach with his full strength because it is certainly there. His blade erased all of existence from immense heat and radiation. I honestly beleive that Ywach had sent the clone to fight Yamamoto first so that way when the clone dies all Ywach has to do is kill him and gain his memories from the fight. By doing that he understood how Yammamotos bankai worked and he could counter it as compared to Ichibei he didn't have the luxury of a clone so he had to open his eyes. If the clone did not attack him and Ywach did he would have had to open his eyes in order to defeat Yammamoto. The clone that copied Ywach gained his memories as well and the memories of Ywach did not know the full potential of Zanka no Tachi. This goes to show how great of a strategist Ywach is for battle

juha already explained that it had nothing to do with trying to understand or know anything about the bankai. all that was needed was to have enough power to take it, which juha had. as a matter of fact, juha gave instruction not to engage yama before he arrived. of course they didn't listen.

but anyways, obviously juha wins this. even before using the almighty powers, juha already outclasses yama. even if he doesn't start of by taking yama's bankai. apparently juha can just straight up take people powers, he just couldn't rake ichibei's power of darkness for some reason. even still, yama's best bankai ability is his west ability. from my observations, it seems that it only stops physical attacks like from swords or the like. for instance, when ryod shot an arrow at yama instead of just letting it hit his body he blocked it with his sword. had his west shield protected him from it, there would have been no need to do so. seeing as juha has a shitton of abilities, he should have no problem beating yama in bankai even if he doesn't steal his bankai or use the almighty. we really need to see how juha was defeated 1000 years ago.
