Honestly? There is nothing wrong with black people as a whole. The media only reports what the "bad apples" of the black people do, never the good. One black guy could be donating hundreds of dollars to a dog kennel, or a black girl could be donating hundreds of hours a month to help feed the homeless...then you get one black thug who shoots a cop reported all over the news. It happens to everyone. All races have good and bad apples. Black people just get reported on more for doing bad things. Plus they don't have the economic status that most whites do, cause I think blacks hold less than 15% of the nation's wealth in the USA. I could be wrong on that though. Even though that doesn't directly lead to black people causing crimes, lower wealth usually translates to doing bad things to get money or drug use to get away from real life.

Sometimes I feel guilty for not supporting them but I do what I can sometimes I try to be a role model. I mean the ones who are younger than me I try telling them but some don't take advice and get their "needs"mixed with their "wants".

I played football but just for fun some thought I wanted to get into college ball but nope I've seen to many focus on sports and end up failing because of their lack of knowledge I've observed things. I'm considered weird on first impressions because my appearance is different from my actions and the way I speak unfortunately (Proper).

It all starts with education and as I observed many don't take education seriously they think school is for social life. I blame the media as well they have a strong influence definitely them Michael Jordan's shoes. So yeah there are so many things that come into play.

In my opinion, the African American's worst enemy are themselves. They destroy their youth with violence in their music and media. They destroy themselves in their own communities. They destroy themselves by placing the blame of their failing status as civilized beings on White people because they believe they are still being oppressed.

As an African American, I believe the only way to save our race is to usher in change for our people. Which would include getting rid of WSHH(that shit alone sets us back hundreds of years). Inspiring our youth to listen to artists like Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, and even a radical like Kanye. They all speak of increasing the worth of the African American, which is what we need to consider ourselves civilized beings. We need to stop all of this idiotic behavior that is called being "ratchet"(in our defense even white people exhibit ratchet symptoms). Black women need to be taught that they have worth and aren't just accessories. They don't have to just give it up to any many who asks. Our youth needs to learn that your brain is the most powerful weapon a human being possesses.

We can't continue to blame our struggle on the government or white people. The government helps out those struggling plenty enough and most whites have joined our arms as brothers in the recent protests. Who can we blame now?

Anyway what do you guys think the worst enemy of the African American is? How can we help ourselves?

Agreed, although not just blacks, but the entire "hood" mindset in general.

The problem is that people get called out for trying to make it out of the hood. It is literally not encouraged to become successful through means that don't involve thugging, sports or music. Since this is ingrained at a young age, they succumb to the pressure/mindset, and that is why we have what we have right now.

How look at these blacks? Me, what i saw overall is that you sent them by millions in USA, make them work like dogs and when you didn't need them anymore because there was machine to replace them you threw them in ghetto, you stupefied them, you threw them alcool, drugs and weapons merchants and today you want make me believe that blacks are the only responsable of their condiation?

They have been bring there, manipulated to end here. That's the reality.
It's always easy to see the rotten branches.You have to analyse the root of a problem.

Yeah dude. It's just stupid that we resort to 3 things to make money. Some people from the hood believe if they can't make it in either one of the three, they might as well live in the hood broke and without a job. I'm not saying it's all people, but it is a very common mindset.

And the youth finding what you call violent art more appealing is the result of economic and social conditions and can't simply be changed like that.

Other than that; racial profiling and such should stop. If people would destroy the FED and stop paying taxes, citizens uniting for a bigger cause, poverty just might diminish and boundaries/categories between people would be broken down and they'd have one common enemy, eliminating petty issues like race.
