[Suggestion] The ability to unlock stuff with Rep points

We all have Rep but some people don't really care about it, some people have collected so much Rep that they can't be bothered anymore.

So how about you add a fuction to this website where you can unlock stuff when you collect a certain amount of rep points.

For example:

100 rep points = You can add a larger Avatar than usual

250 rep points = You can add a larger Siggy than usual

500 rep points = Ability to change your username once ever 6 months if the user wants

1000 rep points = You can change your Username colour every 6 months if the user wants

2000 rep points = You can add 1 feature to your username for example: your username Glows or sparkles.

This is just a 2 minutes thought but how do you like the idea? It doesn't have to be like what I mentioned above, like I said it was only a 2 mins thought. Mods should think about the unlocks themselves and how much rep points are needed to unlock something

Very cool, I feel sorry for people with none premium because they can only have 1 picture in their sig. But the glow and sparkles and colours are too much imo. Also the same goes for the size, thats all premium stuff

1. you have to pay for most of these
2. too many colored names are hell @_@
3. its way too easy to get these many rep points. rep whores get to kage (2,000 pts) in a few months.

Everyone would have these perks in a week if they tried hard enough.
"butter rep" would resurface.

Good idea, I don't have much rep so I probably won't be using those much, but once I've earned some more it'll be sweet. + rep man

EDIT: Those points are actually purchasable through premium membership, so buying premium might be better since it would help run this site as well...

This would only increase the amount of rep-whoring or 'rep parties' on the site, I'm afraid.

At least with Premium (which lets you do most of the things you've listed), the site is funded and able to stay online. If you could get those perks via rep, the amount of money NB gets from Premium users would drop, and it could eventually lead to downtime or shutting off the site because of the cost to run it.

yes def kumi for the purchases not rep....but the suggestion remains the same have a system in which to earn perks through kumi then haaaaave to buy them as some ppl like me dont have credit cards to buy premium even if wanted which i dont because the only perk of premium i like is the big avi
