) Izuna: Divine Senses!
Roku put his gold and white ocarina to his lips and positioned his fingers skillfully. He blew into the mouthpiece and played a song. The sound resonated highly throughout the battlefield, even disrupting the flow of the water on the battlefield as the sound waves penetrated throughout the vicinity. Izuna formed a quick handseal while he felt an immense amount of pain. Then, the pain ceased and he calmed himself. Liliana collapsed upon hearing the sound of the music Roku played. She covered her ears as best as she could, but the sound was far too piercing for her to avoid hearing it. As the fanfare continued, the sound grew and grew until it fulminated, completely paralyzing Liliana and dropping her onto the water. Liliana trembled vapidly, the pain ensuing throughout her entire body was too great for her to recover from. She could not move, and Izuna stared at her coldly. Roku removed the ocarina from his mouth and looked at Liliana.
Roku: Music Arts: Oath to Order…
Liliana: ……
Izuna: Poor girl…*deactivates technique*
Roku: You didn’t bother to save your subordinate. You could’ve as well sealed her hearing with your Divine Senses.
Izuna: Perhaps…but you made a good point. I’m growing tired of the interference.
Roku: ………how cruel of you.
Izuna: Yet, you’re the one who attacked her. But you know…are you sure nobody else heard it? *raises eyebrow*
Roku: …nobody? ………… O_O Kento!!!
Roku searched for Kento, but he was nowhere to be found. Izuna reached underground and pulled up Kento, who was soaked in water and had nearly passed out. His limbs were trembling in the same manner as Liliana’s. Izuna tossed him toward Roku, who caught him quickly. Roku placed his hand on Kento’s chest and focused chakra into him. Soon, Kento awoke and stood. He tried to walk, but he stumbled hazardously upon this attempt.
Kento: Roku-san…why did you…
Roku: I’m sorry…………Kento, take Liliana and get as far away from here as you can.
Kento: But…
Roku: Please. I’m counting on you.
Kento glanced at Liliana for a moment, and then he looked back at Roku and nodded obediently. He took off with Liliana over his shoulder and disappeared. Roku and Izuna exchanged looks. Then, Izuna dropped his chakra control and sunk into the water rapidly. Roku’s eyes seemed to squint slightly, giving him a focused, cold-looking demeanor. He carefully waited for Izuna next move. For a while, there was nothing happening, but Roku stood by patiently. Bubbles began to rise up where Izuna previously stood, and the surface of the water became uneasy. Suddenly, the water started to rise from the place Izuna once stood, and then, a huge creature burst out of it, with Izuna standing atop its head. This creature was an enormous, sea-green serpent with very moist and smooth skin. Atop the serpent’s head was a yellowish-green crown made entirely of what seemed to be coral.

King Serpent: This is the kid you’re fighting? Roku Kiyoshi!! Hahaha! This is good. He owes me reparations for killing my son. This should be good.
Roku: If I may, it wasn’t me who killed that serpent. It was my summon. O_O
King Serpent: Hrmm? The nerve of your speech. As if it mattered. Time to pay!!
The serpent king crashed into Roku with blinding speed, seemingly swallowing him whole. A massive amount of water shot up as the serpent dug his head violently into the flooded town. He reared his head out of the water and looked around quickly. Izuna ignored the serpent king’s search and analyzed the area with his sharingan. He turned around and noticed Roku standing on the back of the serpent king. Roku smirked confidently, and Izuna rushed at him, engaging in hand to hand combat. Izuna performed a sweeping kick, but Roku leaped over him elegantly and landed behind Izuna, delivering a quick blow with his right fist. Izuna turned immediately and caught Roku’s fist swiftly, directing it away by twisting his hand in a pivotal motion as if wrapping around Roku’s wrist and grabbing it. Izuna then punched with his left hand and kicked with his left leg simoultaneously, prompting Roku to block as well with his left arm leg. Izuna smirked and his limbs turned to water, allowing him to slip through Roku’s limbs and then, after solidifying, kick Roku off the serpent and into the water. Roku crashed fiercely into the water and remained submerged for several moments afterward. Izuna’s serpent king bore his fangs and kept his mouth wide open, yielding his head just above the water where Roku would presumably resurface. The serpent was colored in such a way that Roku would be unable to see it lurking above the surface from underwater. The serpent prepared to swallow Roku, chuckling to himself while contemplating the joy of swallowing the Music Sage whole. Izuna’s grin became increasingly sinister and yet, he seemed as confident and calm as ever. The water started shifting and the serpent king prepared to devour Roku, but unexpectedly, a colossal, snow-white paw burst out of the water and jabbed the serpent king in the mouth, painfully impacting him. Izuna recognized the paw and his eyes widened. Then, the beast in the water revealed itself. It was a titanic snow-white-furred wolf with slate gray eyes and an aura of immense power. Roku stood atop the wolf lord.

Roku: :|
Izuna: You brought out Meiunha…that was unexpected.
Roku: Did you think you could trick me into resurfacing in the mouth of a giant sea serpent?
Izuna: Yeah…he was unable to be seen from underwater…
Roku: True…but nothing tells me of your location more than the Energies resonating from your body. To sense Energy is the first thing a Kiyoshi learns.
Izuna: Now that’s intriguing.
Meiunha: Roku…you’re battling this kid again?
Roku: Yeah. Can you help me out? Izuna’s tough enough to fight on his own, but the sea serpent is a real pain.
Meiunha: I’ll see what I can do. I never liked serpents anyway. *smirks* Go…
Roku nodded and leaped high into the air toward Izuna, who did the same. Izuna’s king serpent lashed out at Meiunha, who caught the serpent’s neck and shifted him to the side. Izuna’s serpent, however, was unrelenting and resilient. The serpent slipped out of Meiunha’s grasp and whipped its tail into Meiunha’s chest. Meiunha crashed into a Cliffside on the nearby outskirts of the town. Meiunha landed back on his four paws, focusing on taking down the serpent.
Meiunha: You’re strong…far stronger than that other serpent I battled.
King Serpent: So it was you me. Bad news for you…I won’t hold back.
Meiunha: Fine by me!
Meiunha and the serpent rushed at each other. Meiunha slashed at the serpent, but the king serpent skillfully slithered around Meiunha’s strike and coiled himself around the wolf lord. By the time the serpent had finished wrapping himself around Meiunha, the wolf was completely bound from his neck to his tail. Meiunha’s struggle was futile, and the moment he realized this, he allowed the serpent to constrict even tighter around him.
Meiunha: Wind Release: Divine Monsoon…
Upon mentioning these words, a violent wind picked up around Meiunha that engrossed what seemed to be the entire battlefield. The wind’s speed was now at unprecedented levels and was still rising. The winds focused around Meiunha and acted as individual blades, each of the million wind blades slicing at Izuna’s king serpent from nearly every angle. Green blood splashed out from the serpent’s slimy, scaly skin as the wind cut him. The serpent uncoiled himself from Meiunha to escape the gusty assault and he drew back. Meiunha panted heavily and watched the serpent closely. For a moment, Izuna’s serpent shut its eyes, and then, when he opened them again, he lunged at Meiunha with great ferocity building up within him. His eyes said nothing more than “death”. The speed at which the serpent slithered across the water’s surface was blinding, and Meiunha could barely keep track of him.
King Serpent: Die!!! You damned wolf!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Meiunha thrust his paw at the serpent, who, baring his fangs to bite Meiunha, ended up nearly swallowing Meiunha’s arm. Meiunha roared but regained composure. The serpent kept his bite down on Meiunha’s arm.
King Serpent: I’ll swallow this arm of yours once and for all…
Meiunha: You know………I really hate snakes.
The serpent’s eyes widened. Suddenly, an intense pressure surrounded the two beasts. Izuna’s serpent’s skin started to bulge, and then his entire body began to inflate. His structure became more and more rounded until he exploded brutally, spewing vast amounts of his green blood all over the battlefield, mostly raining down on the area. At the moment that the serpent exploded, a huge amount of wind pressure was discharged from within him and sent a powerful gust throughout the field. Meiunha calmly looked on as his opponent died in a most callous fashion.
Meiunha: It was good of you to try to swallow my arm. Your body filled like a balloon with my Tempest Palm. *looks toward Izuna* Hmph…
Izuna and Roku exchanged blows, catching each others’ fists and countering each strike. Meiunha slammed his paw down in front of Izuna just as Izuna rushed in to attack Roku. Izuna gracefully leaped backward to avoid the paw of the wolf lord and landed safely. As Meiunha removed his paw, Roku rushed toward Izuna from behind, prompting Izuna to turn. As they came within close range of one another, Izuna smirked and Roku’s eyes widened. They locked eyes and Izuna’s sharingan started to spin. Roku tried to look away, but it was far too late. He was caught in Izuna’s genjutsu. The sky darkened to a blood red and the surroundings changed. The colors of the world became a dark grayscale and Roku’s arms were suddenly restrained by wooden cross which held his arms up horizontally, perpendicular to his body, much like that of a depiction of a crucifixion. Roku put his head down in exhaust. Izuna appeared before him, looking up confidently at the golden-haired Kiyoshi. Roku did not lift his head to look at Izuna, but rather, he addressed him while looking at the ground.
Roku: Tch…I got caught…how unfortunate. Now I’ll have to change me strategy…
Izuna: Why should it matter? After all, you know it’s a genjutsu…but the pain is very real. Are you sure you’ll be able to move after this is over?
Roku: Do you take me for a fool, Izuna?
Izuna: *raises eyebrow*
Roku: I know very well that this…this genjutsu is not Tsukuyomi. You wouldn't risk so much just for one attack, would you?
Izuna’s smirk turned to a look of dissatisfaction.
Izuna: Hmph…impressive perception, my friend. Your ability to sense Energy intrigues me. But, I’ll still be able to deal some psychological damage, won’t I?
Roku: Don’t count on it…Music Arts: Sonata of Awakening
Roku began whistling and a piercing sound reverberated throughout the area, causing the genjutsu to become unstable and the sky itself to begin shaking violently. The cross which held Roku melted, freeing him. Roku continued whistling and Izuna was suddenly bound by several dense, powerful chains of pure chakra which dragged him down to his knees. Once Izuna was bound, the genjutsu shattered and the destroyed market town returned. Meiunha stood over Roku, amused at Izuna’s capture. Izuna indignantly cursed to himself and then glared at Roku.
Izuna: You’ve captured me, eh?
Roku: You and I both know that you should have been completely paralyzed as soon as those chains touched you…so why…
Izuna: Allow me to explain.
Izuna smirked once more and jerked his arms forward, breaking the chakra chains completely, causing them to dissipate in the air. Izuna’s arms dripped excessively with water.
Izuna: At any time, I can convert my entire body mass into pure water. Electricity has no effect of me.
Roku: So that’s it…very well, then. Meiunha! I need you to…
Meiunha: Hmph…say no more. I’ll be seeing you soon…don’t you die, got that?
Roku: I've survived this long...
Meiunha disappeared in a huge puff of white smoke. Izuna ran his hand through his hair once and chuckled.
Roku: I’m glad that Kento and Liliana are gone…why don’t we stop holding back.
Izuna: *shakes head while laughing* I thought you’d never ask.
ELSEWHERE
Liliana and Kento sat on a high rocky cliff not too far from the town and directly adjacent to the road. They were not fighting, but both of them had sustained considerable battle damage, and the cliff seemed almost completely desecrated. Liliana suddenly fell to the ground and crawled away from a source feeling, overwhelmed with fear. Kento gave her a confused look, but he too suddenly felt the same presence. Liliana, being a sensor, could feel the presence at much more intense levels than Kento and was thus completely astounded.
Kento: What the hell is that? O_O
Liliana: No…impossible………how is such chakra even possible? Such evil…
Kento: Just whose chakra is that? o_o
Liliana: *gulps* It’s…
A man dressed in a black robe and a black hood which concealed his identity quite well stepped onto the cliff instantaneously in a flash of dark-red energy. The man walked slowly toward Liliana and Kento and, looking up revealed enough of his face for him to be recognized. Yes, they knew that flowing black, midway-shoulder-length hair, those menacing dark red and black eyes that bore greater horrors than the very depths of Tartarus, and that devilish smile which could instill discomfort into even the most serene of all creatures.
