Chapter XII: To Be King
Izuna: Kinjutsu?Edo Tensei.
As Izuna whispered these words, there was a sense of despair in the atmosphere. Subsequently, the earth of the platform on which he stood molded four circles of dark chakra upon its surface. Out from the circles of chakra rose four coffins, each numbered 1-4 and also each with a symbol for the elements Water, Fire, Earth, and Wind. The Sages stared in awe and shock. Hiruzen gulped loudly. Kiwii was stricken with fear. Ace was completely bewildered.
Izuna: *smirks*
Hellsbadass: Dammit! We couldn?t stop him.
Ragnaroc: How come none of our attacks connected?
Roku: Judging by the nature in which each of our techniques were obliterated without a recoiling force, I?d say that around him exists an invisible structural limitation of some sort of energy that shields him.
Madara: So, what. A barrier?
Bishamon: It would seem O_O
Roku: Perhaps, but there was no opposite reaction of colliding forces. Our attacks were simply disintegrated.
Ragnaroc: So, what?re you saying?
Roku: There?s no way Izuna could?ve created a barrier so sophisticated. A typical barrier ninjutsu creates something that opposes the force of ninjutsu or any type of applied force. There was no opposition. Simply, this type of barrier, if it is at all, is not ninjutsu.
Zanji: What? Then?is it?Genjutsu?
Ragnaroc: Nope. I would be able to tell if it were genjutsu or not. It?s structure is unlike regular chakra.
Roku: The barrier itself?resembles????! It?s like the Kiyoshi Art! It?s made purely of Energy! O_O But not the same form of which the Kiyoshi Clan uses, which means, someone else must be sustaining this barrier somewhere. Someone with incredible power and knowledge that transcends a hundred lifetimes.
Bishamon: I figured as much. This technique is one of the Ancients? abilities.
Izuna: Right you are.
Ace: The ancients?
Izuna: Excuse me?you should really be focusing all of your attention here, if you will.

The coffin doors slowly slid open, creaking as they did. The first door fell forward and made a loud crash. Then, the next did the same, and soon, each coffin door fell forward. The silhouettes of four people stood in the dark coffins. One stepped forward, wearing a tattered kage robe that covered a standard ANBU uniform without a chest guard, revealing her ample bosom. Her shimmering black hair fluttered in the breeze which blew through the open ceiling. A raindrop landed on her face, giving the appearance that she was crying, but she quickly wiped it off.
Roku: It?s Rei!! O_O
Bishamon: So he?s summoned the Kages?
Goro: How horrible?but sensei, I thought the Tsuchikage was still alive.
Bishamon: As did I O_O I was never informed that the current Tsuchikage had been killed.
Izuna: True, the Tsuchikage lives?at least, that is what the people of Iwagakure believe.
Zanji: What?
Izuna: All it took was a secret alliance with the council of Iwagakure, and the coup d??tat went smoothly. Afterwards, we put in our own man to act as a figurehead using a Permanent Transformation jutsu. The Tsuchikage was actually the first of the Kages to be killed.
Elias: What?! O_O
Izuna: When he was killed, Mizutoki, the former Raikage, took initiative to put an end to rebellion in Iwagakure because Kumogakure had a peace treaty with them. Mizutoki didn?t know, however, that Kirabi-san and I had coordinated the coup in Iwagakure, and thus thought the rebels were acting out of sheer ill will. The very ninja from Iwagakure who rebelled against their village because they knew about the government?s corruption were killed by the very shinobi that the leaf village sent to assist in relieving Iwagakure of the rebels. That?s when Mizutoki was assassinated, in order to avoid the appearance of Kumogakure?s involvement in the matter. This created a sense of hostility against Konoha for Iwagakure. That in turn led to rebels everywhere, starting with the raids on the Fire temple and the Hidden Sand Village. It seemed as if Konoha started the whole thing, and therefore, many missing ninja aligned with Kirigakure and Kumogakure. That is the truth! That is the origin of the 6th Great Ninja War.
Hellsbadass: You bastards!
Elias: It?s ingenious O_O
The three silhouettes in the other coffins stepped forward. The Tsuchikage had spiky black hair and evil red eyes. The Kazekage had blond spiky hair that was short and blue eyes. His robe was completely tattered and underneath was a brown, plain uniform. The Mizukage had short brown hair and black eyes. He was wearing a long, open blue jacket on top of his clothes, which were the standard bluish-gray flak jacket on a full-body suit. Izuna attached the fuda tags to each of them, causing them to lose their free will. Despite their loss of free will, their bodily conditions seemed to improve.
Izuna: Now, this is an even fight.
Madara: o__o No way?
Rei: Kazekage?it seems we failed.
Naruto..: Yes, it does. I suppose that there?s still hope.
Rei: Yes. Roku, Goro, Hiruzen, Ace, and Kiwii are all still alive.
TenzoX: Enough talk.
Nexus: Tenzo?s right. I suggest you all get ready to fight the fight of your afterlives.
TenzoX: Now it?s us, the Kages, against them, the Sages. :|
Hellsbadass: Tenzo?looks like I?ll have to kill you again.
TenzoX: You little?! *forms handseals* Water Style: Whirling Wall Torrent
TenzoX spit out a very thin stream of rapidly flowing water from his mouth that shot toward Hellsbadass but did not hit him. Instead, the stream of water expanded as it approached him and encircled him in a massive, rising column of violently spinning water.
Naruto..: So quick to jump into action *sigh*
TenzoX: *claps* This is the end!
Hellsbadass: Earth Release: Ground Turnover Cannon
The earth directly under the thin but violent circular wall of water rose up at one point under part of the water wall and shaped into a powerful sturdy cannon. The water, however, was so powerful that parts of the earth cannon started to crack off. Hellsbadass acted quickly.
Hellsbadass: I?m glad Roku taught me this next technique?Suiton: Bakusui Konpakuto Mizu Tomi no Jutsu (Water Style-Explosive Compressed Water Ball Technique)
In Hellsbadass? right hand formed a powerful, small but dense sphere of water the shape of a plum. He launched it into the cannon of earth and pulled the trigger, launching the sphere of water toward TenzoX at exceedingly fast speeds. Tenzo had no time to react! Just as it was about to connect, the sphere was abruptly sliced in half by a powerful wind jutsu. The remaining water from the compressed water ball spilled into the room, flooding it up to a foot.
Naruto..: Wind from Myoubokuzan! O_O Be more careful, Tenzo.
Izuna: I just had a thought.
Bishamon: And what?s that?
Izuna: A full scale battle is necessary in order to end this fight, but it will get us nowhere fighting all out in this place. Imagine tons of A-rank and S-rank jutsu flying all over the place, interfering with everyone?s fights.
Elias: So you?re suggesting we take this outside?
Caliburn: I wouldn?t mind that.
Kaito: Neither would I, Izuna-san. =/
Izuna: True, it gives us much more space, but then it leaves us with an unsure balance of wins and losses. Imagine some of us winning and some of us losing. Then those weakened few would have to face each other or run away, and we can?t have that. Otherwise, it?s simply unnecessary loss of lives.
Ali: What?re you suggesting, Izuna-sama?
Izuna: An all-out Deadlocked Battle in which we can fight with no boundaries and nowhere to hide. A battle in which we can let lose our most powerful attacks at our leisure, or rather, have no choice but to.
Madara: How do you expect to do that?
Izuna: Watch?
Izuna formed five handseals: Boar → Dog → Bird → Monkey → Ram.
Izuna: Kuchiyose no Jutsu (Summoning Jutsu)!!
The summoning seal appeared under Izuna?s hand and a large cloud of smoke emerged from nowhere. As the smoke cleared, Izuna was standing atop a giant, slimy, smooth-skinned pale green sea serpent. The serpent careened it?s head and smashed a portion of the remaining dome?s ceiling.
Ragnaroc: I see?
Bishamon: Let?s do it.
Hellsbadass: *smirks* The Sages are back in action, baby.
Nexus: Just give it your best shot.
The Sages, the Kages, Kaito, Goro, and Ace all formed their 5 handseals and then slammed their right or left hands on the ground. Bishamon slammed both hands on the ground and formed two summon circles. Ragnaroc drew a Kanji on his katana and stabbed it into the ground to perform the summoning.
Bishamon: Double Kuchiyose no Jutsu!
Raganroc: Kuchiyose! Lynx Emperor Corbis!
Roku: Kuchiyose no Jutsu! Lord Fang!
Rei: Kuchiyose! Kisaki Kochou (Butterfly Queen)
Everyone: Kuchiyose no Jutsu!
In a giant explosion of white smoke that covered the entire stronghold, Yasuragi Stronghold collapsed completely, for the resulting summons were far too big to be contained. The smoke was huge, compact, and very thick. Those who had not used summoning jutsu ran outside of the stronghold where they could not be crushed. Ali and Kiwii watched closely, waiting for the smoke to clear. Ali waited for the right moment and then leaped into the smoke, landing on something. Kiwii looked to his right and then his left. Then, the ground somewhere suddenly cracked and rocks burst out as if something had stepped too hard on the ground. The smoke finally began clearing. The shadows of several large, various creatures could be seen while the smoke cleared, and at last it did. The Sages and their summons were lined up, facing the Kages and their summons. Goro and his summon, a white bear that was about the size of a small house were next to a massive, ancient dragon, towering over 100 meters, that looked to have come from part of the earth itself. Atop the dragon were Bishamon and Hiruzen, holding an adamantine staff. Izuna marveled the sight. Naruto.. was atop the head of Gamabunta, the chief toad. Rei was standing calmly on the back of a huge white and purple butterfly. Hellsbadass was with a large black dragon, about as tall as Gamabunta. Tenzo was flying above Izuna and his serpent on to a large scarlet robin about the size of Gamakichi. Kaito flew on a giant hawk with Ali next to him. A colossal white wolf lord that was larger than Gamabunta by a significant deal. The wolf?s fur was as white as snow. It sighed and the wind picked up quickly. Next to wolf was Ragnaroc was his animal, a large arctic lynx a bit smaller than the wolf. Zanji was atop an ice dragon, smaller than Gamabunta, with a long white beard. Akira stood on his black and white Yin Yang dragons who encircled each other in the form of a yin yang symbol. They were about half the size of Gamabunta. Elias sat on the head of a fiery red dragon whose wings and tail raged with flames. Madara scratched his head on top of a radiant, dazzling lightning yellow dragon. Lastly, Nexus was standing atop a giant 100 meter long purple snake: Manda.
Izuna: This will truly be a battle for the history books, my friends.
Hellsbadass: *smirks*
