Now what would Fukasaku be reffering to if not to sage mode.

Between what lines?

Gamabunta who knew Minato, asked Fukasaku if he also saw those familiar forms. and Fukasaku simply replied with Naruto surpassing everyone of Konoha's older generations. Which is probably a little exaggeration from Fukasaku's part.

"Those who came before him"? I remember when the spoilers for this came, there were different translation for this line. One of them said that Naruto had surpassed Jiraiya and the 4th.

Probably translation differences, don't make a big deal out of it.

Uhmm no. Minato had Rasengan on the same level that Fukasaku had seen.

He could possibly be talking about Minato being a sage but well find out one way, nothing is ever mentioned in this manga without being explained so we'll find out somehow.

Previous Generations... Is it so hard to understand?

If it was Sage mode, he would've said predecessors. It's not like there are generations of people in Naruto with the ability to go into Sage mode.

But there are things that are always hidden in this series like when we found out that Kakashi could use the Rasengan when everybody up to that point said that it was a justu only that the Minato and Ero Sennin could use... you never what people learned just because youve never seen anybody use it before we just need a intense indepth Minato Gaiden and find out everything about so their are no questions but that would take away from the fun and the mystery...

I just find it disturbing that the 4th was so great, and Jman loved him so much and new he was a genius, I cant figure it out why he wouldnt have showed Minato sage abilities atleast? I cant see how Jiraya hid Sage mode from the 4th if it is this uber ability that makes Naruto semi invincible?

That might also be a possibility! ; ) But I think that Jiraya already had sage mode at that time. Other wize he would have learned it at +- the age of 34, I dont know, but I just find it to stupid not to have learned it to him, or even why the frogs didnt suggested it to him?

if he wasn't referring to sage mode.. maybe he was referring to naruto surpassing them as a ninja in general.. there is absolutely NO proof that minato knew sage techs..

im not sure but i think it doesnt matter if u have a contract with frogs or not as long as u have it with someone (but im pretty sure the forth had it with the frog) because if it was only with frogs why whould onichimaru have a sage mode type thing when fighting sasuke

lol.. thats kinda what i'm getting at.. we dont exactly have relevant information to say either.. but so far, there isn't any info saying/showing that he did know sage techs..

I know the predicament that we have here, but we as you say we also dont know that he doesnt have it. I just find it highly strange that if he didnt have it, why? I think surely if you had the opportunity to become stronger and better, you would grab it with both hands, especially if you see what happened with Naruto + Jiraya in sagemode.
