Just a rough Estimate. The Voting is Done on the 24th. Im guessing it takes a day or 2 for it to get passed/Declined

Most of us are looking at this as bad things. (Which i do agree) But alot of people not looking at it from others.

People Write books for living and sing for living. but how can they Make money when people are reading it or listening to it for free? Im Against it to be honest. Cause im the 1st to say i Download music *COUGH*THEBADWAY*COUGH*

But Idk. How do you feel about it. Dont just Bash the idea. Be reasonable.

I fully understand the Bill now. So that mean No Naruto Anime/Manga. :(
But yea. Im still against it. We supposed to be a free Nation. ^_^

You really don't understand the bill then. First of all, NB servers are not located in the US. So the only thing the bill could possibly accomplish is having the website blocked by ISPs. A simple means around that is proxy servers.

Anyway, if it does get passed, who knows how well it will even be enforced? Which I find it highly unlikely to get passed.

The people who wrote the bill know as little about the internet as all the people complaining about it. Suffice to say, the DMCA is already enough, and SOPA is not needed.

The U.S is trying to pass a bill to censor the Internet. If it gets passed anything thats not copyrighted gets took down. (Wiki,Youtube, anime websites,Nb. Etc)
Technically anything that you get for free
Wow.
Well,as much as i hate saying this but it seems reasonable.
But that would suck.

Well narutoBase could still exist but not as a free site. They will probably shift to having a paid membership for those who want to view the manga. That is still legal. They could make a deal with Kishi or his representatives to sell his work by providing a paid membership.

But so far as people sticking to pay for it the chances are many will leave and make a new site and rp about made up things or somewhere along those lines.

As you said yourself,if that happens many will leave NB and few will stay here.
Even IF they stay here for more than a year. Then they would leave so It's better if it gets shut down.

in my thread (which also includes anothers thread with more info) it includes a link to a petition google has to say No to SOPA!

OT: I believe there should a fight against piracy- not against our freedom/liberty. The United States prides its self in the fact that the citizens are free- by doing this (censoring the internet) I think it starts more of a movement to have more "rules" implemented to bend our freedom.
