The thing here is that the anime is not graphic at all. Neither in terms of gore/blood neither in psychology.

You are still missing the point. This show being violent or not is clearly a matter of perspective, if it is violent for you, others might disagree and they are in their own right to do so.

Who are you to try and make that the Boruto series is violent or dark, the universal truth? No one.

Kishimoto said it is a show for kids. The images you paste are soft when compared to other stuff the same audience of this show might see. There is no psychology that is violent enough for this show to be considered dark and the images are well.. soft.. very very soft.

Like I said, the father of Simba in the Lion King dying is more violent than anything the Boruto anime has shown so far. Mufasa is killed by his own brother while trying to save his son, wth, right?

My childhood semi trauma XD

Mufasa's death wasn't gory which means nothing . How are the pics i sent soft? Are your eyes okay? What do u want more than a severed head and a man burning alive? Jesus christ dude stop ignoring facts and deal with it. For your info more deaths are coming in boruto wait and see

No it's not PG 13 in japan censor blood

Still suitable for kids and kids watch it. Therefore it's also a kids show.

Do any of you two 123fire and indra (better yet this goes for every person on this site that sits on their ass and praise a fictional character) have anything better to do than to just bicker about stupid shit? Do you guys love each other or something? Seriously, grow the **** up.

So? Doesn't change the facts that it also a kids so, blood being shown or not. You make another thr wad in like a week or 2, talking about this again.

Anything below PG-17 kids and children can watch, but might need an adult to watch. But seeing as this is a weekly show and online at that, it's suitable for kids (and is a kids show); is not an adult show. Last I checked no one needed to show ID to get into the cinema to watch Boruto the movie. Even though there's blood and Boruto a kid kills someone. Why's that? I thought this was not a kids film?

Pretty much this.

It ain't no Berserk, that's for damn sure. I don't really expect massive gore in this show since it is shounen and is sort of presented as a show geared towards younger/teen audiences.

...it appeals to different age groups.

But yes, it does get pretty childish. The dialogue is ridiculous sometimes.

I know right!! That type of stuff traumatized a whole generation. Violent af..

My eyes are fine, thank you for asking. My notion of violence is way different than yours, it seems. I saw Samurai-x when I was a teen, now that was bloody..

I am not ignoring facts, just saying it is not serious. A severed head and a man burning don't compare to Mufasa dying. A 6 year old cries when Mufasa dies and can have bad dreams about it, a 6 years old sees a severed head and a man burning and has no reaction to it.

You don't think!!! I am actually inclined to say you are a sissy!

Who said it's adults????? Said teeeeeeeeens teeeeens teeeeeens!!!!!! Jesus christ ages 14 to 18 think!!!

Because it is not violent enough to be censored. Think!!! And btw, 14 to 18 are still kids and their mentalities aren't exactly that different. From 13 yo to 15 yo there is barely any difference except for body hair.

It is for kids, teens and it is rated PG-13 in the US. I am amazed how you say teens, like they were very mature or any type of reference.

In Japan school ends at 3.30PM. Kids get to their home, eat their chocolate sushi and watch Boruto on a Wednesday.

Saturday, when they wake up in the morning, they can have their breakfast and watch Boruto at 7AM. Does this seem as an adult show? Or for teens? No, it is aimed at kids. Censorship in Japan works differently. They prefer to censor characters that smoke and exhibit their guns in public than blood.

In the case of Boruto, they aren't exactly censoring it. Do you think they would do it and risk losing Naruto fans? Think!!!

No, we don't have anything better to do. What are you? The Narutobase UN commissaire?

I agree with this, boruto from the get go has been established as such, and it makes sense when you factor in them trying to bring in a new generation of fans, most of the people that got on board with naruto when it was being released are grown up . Naruto even looks more graphic in general from the beginning and tapers off in seriousness towards the end of pt 1(sra is still THE pt1 arc tho) and by ship the general tone had changed, imo at least
Could't have said it better myself. If Naruto stayed consistent like it did in Part 1, then I would assume Boruto might have been a bit darker with its themes. But it remains to be a big step down in regards to seriousness, so they are waiting for this big moment to get you hooked on the "edgy" and "dark" stuff.

Throwing in stab wounds doesn't make the series "mature". Especially when they are dancing with live sun flowers in an episode right after :elmo:

That’s what kinda kills it for me, the intro scene was masterful tbh, and left people with good questions and excitement, but then we need to be told that there will be a darker turning point. I don’t want to be told, good writing segways into it, they don’t tell the reader outright “hey we know it’s a bit light now but just you wait!!” Lead me into it, let me experience it, we obviously know it takes a turn, you only need to watch or read the entire first episode or chapter to figure that out. It’s a circus in that planning room I bet, I’m sure it’ll get better, but right now they’re all over the place. And yea, superficial wounds don’t serve to make anything more mature, it’s all context, you can show spurting blood and limbs being cut off and still be silly and not really mature, but I digress, I just wish op wouldn’t try so damn hard, but then again, it’s pretty dead around here lately so there’s that

Not enough. The cliff fall is far superior in damage to any of these scenes. You keep avoiding my points, I know.. There is no comeback. If you could understand a bit of viewer psychology, you wouldn't be so stubborn. Oh well.. Keep living in your reality where this is considered mature content.

Naruto shippuden had dark episodes but then sometimes there were comedies here and there....

Yeah man, sure but nothing as childish as Boruto.

Have you seen the Beserk movies there's some graphoc scenes in that. It's definitely hardcore.

For sure, I really enjoyed them. I feel like the 1997 anime had more impact IMO, but still I love them
