I believe it grants the user better fluidly in their movements while fighting. It likely is a trait shared among Indra transmigrants as Madara stated that having the Straight Tomoe would make Sasuke's eye compatible with his own; that's why he went after Sasuke's left eye when he lacked his own.

Indra/madara/sasuke all had this type of sharingan.
Its funny how obito never noted this back when he was watching over sasuke or could madara have simply meant EMS ?

After he stabbed sasuke he made note of sasuke's EMS/Eyes bein confirmation of his past sufferings.

So it seems madara meant that EMS is the reason sasuke moves so well.

On the flip side its funny how madara was naive to the whole indra/ashura transmigrant drama , he knew there was a connection to sasuke with the whole tomoe sharingan bit , but had no idea why.

No, the chakra flow (Anti-clockwise and Clockwise) are spirals and even a swirl is a spiral, so there could be a swirl hidden in the Mangekyo. I won't deny that they are straight though. Just imagination.
