I'm not sure about this either, you should ask one of the senseis. Following the normal ranking of the jutsu's they would cancel each other out, however the jutsu says it is very weak against elemental combo's.

il highlight the mistakes
the water clones at the begining cant use wind element thus being water clones so only shadow clone can use all elemental attacks
the wind+fire combo of ingwer used can only be beaten by wind + Water combo such as the wind rasengan+ water vortex combo
so id advice from this point forward you start again keeping these points in mind
