Well if your hidden and your opponent is looking for you, you can used this jutsu to confuse his sense if direction, or if you use the Kirigakure jutsu to block the opponent's vision of you and use it to disorient him but of course you have to know where he is. And can place traps like hiding paper bombs or using other genjutsu to really break his mind O_O

You are correct. If the ninja is unable to detect the illusion very quickly, they can become exhausted mentally and physically when they are unable to reach their desired target by traveling along the same path over and over.

Start by focusing your chakra above my clone and then turn it into an image of a fireball coming down from the sky.
The general point of this jutsu is make the opponent believe a giant fireball is descending on them they will either flee or try to protect themselves from the fire. A good combo would be to use this, then when they try to defend using water or flee, follow up with a lightning attack.
