Exactly. Such jutsus work well in battles since it takes double effort to defend against them. Like those advertisements: 2 in 1. It works just like Water Typhoon and such.

This next one is a Third Hokage common one. Begin by forming Fire Chakra internally and build up pressure as you do so. Then release it all at once, towards the floor, to incinerate an entire area in front of you with flames.
