Ah well. Nice area, no matter. -clouds suddenly thunder and rain begins falling-
Hey. Perfect timing.
Let's get started. I want you to cup your hands together and attempt to make a small puddle of water in your hand. (Yes, I know this is lightning style, don't worry)

you're stretched pretty thin with all your students, aren't you? anyways, this mountain was as close to a storm as I could get and that would make this a little easier. *cups hands to catch the falling rain* this may take a while. *waits a bit while my cupped hands slowly gather rainwater* Hurry up!

 

[Adachi]

O_O Stretched thin? What are you talking about? xD I'm more worried about disappointing them than myself, actually. I'm sorry for taking awhile, once again.
-suddenly puts a single hand into the puddle in your hands. You are shocked by a small wave of electricity as I send my Raiton chakra into your puddle-
Now, from that experience, do you mind telling me how you think Raiton could be used, and what a bigger shock might do for damages?

don't worry about taking a while. i'm fine with it. but physically on the other hand, *coughs* anyways, raiton is a relativly fast-moving element and is probably used mostly for surprise attacks. that small shock that you sent through through the water, and effectivly through my body (which i saw comming, by the way) made my body jitter and it also made me cough. a larger bolt could potentially go right through a person, and possible even be conducted through the portions of the body that is made of water, effectivly killing them

O_O Very nice description. You are right. Also, keep in mind that lightning and water go hand in hand - lightning jutsus usually take quite some chakra to use, and great accuracy, but water helps boosts its effectiveness.
Let's begin. I want you to bend down at that puddle near us and send your chakra through it. Keep in mind the structure and form of Raiton - we will begin with the offensive nature of it.

*Places my red kunai above the puddle* alright let's try this! *places my right hand over the puddle and stedies it with my left hand. I close my eyes, take in a deep breath and sends all of my chakra to my palm, focusing on the image of lightning flashing across the sky and the sound of thunder*

 

[Adachi]

Sound of thunder? xD Not necessary. But, yes, I suppose those images helped you form the beginnings of Raiton Chakra.
Now, remember, the basics of most Raiton jutsus is CONTROL and also MAINTAIN. As Raiton is a very quick and speedy element, it can often times get out of hand and lead to inaccurate attacks or backfires.
-sees the puddle flash brightly and a ripple of energy runs through it- Wonderful. Now I will place my hand in the same puddle as you and generate small waves of wind as I do so. I want you to focus on pushing the current back towards me with another wave of Raiton chakra.

*cups my hands, thumbs together, and places them near the surface of the puddle, opposite you. i focus my chakra in a way that's simmilar to the way I did the way before. i send out multiple flashes of lightning to the waves you're creating. i focus hard on my chakra, trying to control and maintain it.*

Nicely done. You have learned both the defensive and offensive usage of the basic lightning jutsu.

Anyhow, let us move on. Now, using the exact same way you focused your Raiton earlier, I want you to generate a pool of it into your hand. Then, when you believe you have stored enough chakra, slam the ground with your hand and release the chakra through it towards my feet. Remember to maintain steady control as you do so.

*takes in a deep breath and exhales sharply* Alrighty, let's do this. *holds my right arm out away from my body and supports my wrist with my left hand. i send my chakra towards my palm in a way that's becoming slightly easier. bolts of lightning jump from finger to finger as well as palm to fingers, creating a small pool. when i couldn't distinguish single bolts from another anymore, I brought my hand up by the side of my head, flipping it towards the ground, and slammed it into the ground, using my my left hand to guide it so I could focus more on my chakra*

Yes, now focus the chakra towards my foot upon the ground. It is one thing to send your chakra through the ground, but another thing to actually release it from the ground.

*sends the lightning through the ground, small sparks shooting up and out every now and then. the lightning travels through the earth to the soles of your feet and I do my best to send it straight up with a kia*

Very nicely done. Remember, in a real battle, this must be done quickly and efficiently. Before we move on, please state for me a advantage and disadvantage of using this jutsu.

Description: The user will concentrate their chakra and slam their hand on the ground to release a surge of lightning across the ground to the opponents feet to shock them.

For the next one, could you inform me whether or not you have experience in Earth jutsu?

An advantage of this jutsu is if it's used by correctly, you're opponent won't be able to see where it's comming from. A disadvantage is you're focusing on the stream of chakra, slowing your reaction time to stop a surprise attack. No, I have no experience with Earth jutsu, this is my first element.

Wow. O_O　Great response. I hope you put this jutsu to use once or twice in your entire battle lifetime.
Anyhow, since you have not learned Earth jutsu, we can not utilize this one yet. Let us move on then. This time, instead of focusing your Raiton chakra into your hand, I want you to focus on letting it surround and blanket your body. Push it out from the pores of your skin and let it cover you like a shield.

*stands straight up* Let's do this. *closes my eyes and takes in a deep breath. i focus a lot of chakra near the surface of my skin and mould it into lightning style chakra. sparks fly around my fingers. my eyes snap open as I force the chakra out my pores and around my body* how's that?

 

[Adachi]

Yes. Good. Maintain good control of it - make sure there are no holes. Now, I want you to continue to focus on this shield and then dash forward to hit my clone -creates Kage Bunshin- with the full force of this jutsu.

 

[Sharingdork]

*i make myself as small and low as I can so i can focus on making sure there are no holes. then I leap foreward, taking long strides, and try to hit the clone with the bulk of my body. then I come to a skidding halt*

 

[Adachi]

-the clones poofs away as the lightning chakra hits it- Nicely done. You can defend against weak Earth attacks with this jutsu or burst right through them during a battle.
