Hm...Alright. Very good. However, you can hide shurikens with this jutsu. And as Zero stated, you can also combine fire moves with this though I wouldn't necessarily recommend it.
Why do you think this move is better than most jutsus? I categorize it in the same category as Lightning-Wind Vortex.

Maybe because it's affect isn't one sided, so to speak? I can combine this with other things, also, while the wind is spinning around me, I can wait for the perfect moment to attack.

Well, yes. Very good. These jutsus has two-sides to it - I simply like to narrow it down to 2 in 1. Such jutsus provide two attacks, which make it equally hard to defend against.

Description: After gathering Wind chakra, the user will use it to generate a whirling vortex of wind. The vortex moves fast and has the sharpness of the wind element;

Let us move on. I want you now to focus your chakra into the air to create a crescent shaped wind. Think of slicing a sword and the result it would produce. Once you have created this crescent shaped wind, proceed to direct at a tree nearby.

Hm... Because this shape has a sharp edge and is quite aerodynamic. Also, that's the shape that usually represents a slice of a sword, so it has cutting power? :| more like people imagine a slice of sword when they see this shape. I think so, at least -.-

For this next one, start by sending your chakra out in front of you to create a small gust. Make sure that the gust has equal power on either side of it. When I release my own Wind attack against you in a few moments, make sure that it is strong enough to neutralize it when I do so.

So I think I'll use Wind Style: Divine Wind.

*Creates 4 gusts of wind that spin around her. Then, uses 1 of them to hit the crescent shaped wind from bellow, to turn it into horizontal position. Then uses the rest of the separate gusts to hit it from the left, that way making it turn and miss Jun.*
