Not really, Neji shares the same bloodline as Hinata, their fathers were twinse, he was the prodigy that inherited the superior talent even Hiashi admitted it. And let's not pretend that his sacrifice wasn't an aspull to pair Hinata with Naruto

Furthermore, Ootsutsuki aren't born with a Byakugan like the Hyuga it suggests that the ability to use dojutsu lies with the Huga bloodline.

Byakugan powered by Rikudou Senjutsu along with the ability to use Tenseigan would've surpassed Toneri's power levels by miles, Kaguya already displayed how strong the Byakugan can be with the right chakra, now imagine it in the hands of a prodigy like Neji.

Lol at all the hate, it's a fact a dojutsu is stronger when it's used by a natural wielder. Neji was a natural inheritor of Hamura's chakra just as much as Hinata, his death was a nerf and plot no jutsu for NaruHina

I don't see how ppl keep saying Neji died for NaruHina. IMO Neji looked at Hinata as an ally/cousin/friend...(after he put her in intensive care during the Chunin Exams) Other than that filler with Neji helping Hinata when she couldn't see, there's no NejiXHinata moments........ Or it's just that I wasn't paying attention to the Anime. Either way Kishimoto wanted NaruHina in the first place.

Honestly we've never seen Tenseigan from a competent user (as Toneri did awaken it only moments before fighting)
So there's no real way to know wheather or not the Tenseigan is a strong eye.However depicted as "Hyuga's Rinnegan" Should we see someone like Himawari, Boruto or Hinata get it they could showcase the eye better.
Still Kishi said the movie was canon soooo......

I only said strong eye in the context of it's ability this shown anyway, I meant fanfiction in the context of neji being an inheritor of Hamura's chakra from one user and the belief that ootsutsuchi aren't born with the byakugan is also fanfiction as I suppose those byakugan eyes that power the tenseigan machine came from nowhere . Toneri also said his eyes were takem and offered to the tenseigan machine thus nothing but byakugan. The ootsutsuchi and the hyuga are similar but different they both retain the byakugan but the ootsutsuchi have the body and the hyuuga eyes probably have special properties. On that note, hinata is not going to display the eye better than toneri, heck toneri without a byakugan could take her. While Hinata does have hamura's chakra and hyuga eyes meither her, himmawari nor boruto are getting it. That's fanfiction one would still need an ootsutsuchi body and even then Kaguya didn't display having one. So the process is tricky but it is a plausiblr theory nevertheless :Sparks:

Not denying it's existence, it's canon. No doubt but it's unlikely kishi ir the new writer will explore that again.

The new writer won't revisit or explore anything like this. Nothing high tier or new, the series is over and this series is just a vehicle series for a new guy to make a name for himself. He'll be playing it safe.

Understandably, the Tenseigan weapon wasn't necessary for the story or plot AT ALL. However, the wikia says the Tenseigan awakens with Ootsusuki chakra and the Byakugan coming together. Seeing Himawari and Boruto got two parents that received chakra from the Ootsusuki. Gives a chance for the Tenseigan to awaken. Makes no absolute sense when talking about Kaguya... but that's what it says. Toneri says it in the movie too. I and a few others on here stay with our opinon that Hinata should have gotten the Tenseigan. The final clash with Toneri would've been so much better, to me at least. Hamura developed his Tenseigan naturally like Madara did his Rinnegan, so Hinata and the kids could do the same. Still it is only speculation.
