I remember reading like ten years ago that they had invented a way (in theory, I forget but it was one of those articles in the same way that people were talking about having the first fully electric automobile before it actually happened) to enhance the memory of the human brain by networking it with hardware.
And the precision of cutting-edge prosthetics technology today is pretty wild.
I wouldn't say it's that far off.
Wouldn't surprise me, to be honest.
After all, the human body is basically a machine too. Especially the brain, 'cause nerves/synapses run with electricity. On the one hand, it would be really cool to improve ourselves with hardware, but on the other hand.. we know how evil and stupid humans truly are, I would be afraid to be hacked or catching a virus with a computer chip or an additional harddrive in my head.
