Last I checked, Gai in gates is every bit a kage's equal, especially A's. He has shown mastery of taijutsu far above A, while A just speeds around and uses wrestling moves. Gai's speed would be comparable to A's, while his strength would be comparable as well. Only thing that A has over Gai is stamina, Gai wins it by himself if he can kill quick, otherwise A wins. With all of Team Gai, its not even a match worthy of discussing.

Neji can't press chakra points if he can't even touch A.
A can withstand a chidori to the heart, whereas kisame would die from a chidori, yet survived a direct hit from afternoon tiger without losing conscious. V2 A is far faster than gai, and unlike gai, V2 has no negative effects on A except for slowly draining his bijuu level chakra.
Gai can't do any serious damage to A. Lee does no better. Neji can't do jack since he can't even touch A. Seriously, the only hope for Gai's team is (and I can't believe I'm saying this) ten-ten if she has the banana fan. If she uses a powerful fuuton to blow away the raiton shield, then Gai and lee can go in for the kill. Other than that Gai and lee in their highest gates are outlasted.

I agree with you, if they have info on each other if i was A i would lob ten-ten's head right off the 1st chance i get. But if Gai was in the front and neji and rock lee backing him up/ playing guerilla warfare, and ten-ten keeping him honest from a distance they have a chance. If they play it smart ill give it to team gai but if something goes wrong then A wins.

ppl Kisame wuz wiping the floor with all of team gai so kisame is a bit stronger than a but did eventually lose so A will last tremendously long but eventually lose

And for those who say Neji won't be able touch A are just ignorant, the Gentle fist taijutsu technique specializes in disrupting chakra flow whether inside a human body or not. If it is chakra based it can be dispersed by Neji. Neji will also find the weakness in A's Raiton armor. Neji does not have to touch A to block his tenketsu.
Neji Hyūga remarked that any chakra-based substance can be destroyed by this technique. As seen in his fight with Kidōmaru, it is done by leaking chakra from the chakra openings in one's hands and moulding it into a needle-like shape to slice through
the chakra.
Therefore Neji and his gentle fist technique would slice right through Raikages Raiton armor. FACT!
