It's a short duration, and by using willpower (because it's not a really strong jutsu) or a full body jutsu, you should be able to break out. D-Ranks aren't that strong. xD

*Following Ahikio's instructions exactly, i throw down a smoke bomb and place Makibishis sporadically but carefully in the concealed smoke affected area without making noise*
If you're clone steps on the Makibishis they'll be dispersed/impaled.

Their feet would become afflicted and they would be impaled. Basically their movement would become crippled.
