The surviving weren't hit by the main flash, but by the secondary line of lightning. The main flash, which reaches the ground, is at least 100 million volts strong. A direct hit of the main flash you can't survive.

For example a tree, which got hit by the main flash.

I know this and no my statement was not false because he said "thunder" not main or secondary flash. thunder is the sound it makes when the heat in the air collapses on itself and creates sound I know about main and secondary flash but thunder is sound and people have survived the main flash through being very lucky

Because they got hit by the secondary flash for few milliseconds.
A main flash is to strong, it hits the target and destroys him.
The survivors have not gotten the flash in fully. That's the reason, why they're had the luck to survive.

Kirin hits it's target in full size, it destroys him and the surroundings on top - that's because no one can survive it. Zetsu stated it, too.
