She was never shown or stated to have defeated any of konoha's nins by ambush. They were all clean wins unless you can prove otherwise.
1) The flute takes a while to put the victim under genjutsu.
2) tayuya can't move while she uses the genjutsu which means she has to try and hide first
3) tayuya can't hide from konan due to her paper clones, and papers floating all over the place
4) konan can't break out of a genjutsu that part 1 shikamaru could?
5) konan can't dodge opponents that part 1 shikamaru could?
Just the fact that 2 of the sound 4 barely beat 1 specialist jounin, while konan went around wrecking all kinds of jounins, chuunins and gennins in the pain arc tells you that there is a clear difference in the level of power/speed/jutsu each can do.
If tayuya is god-blessed lucky enough to catch konan in genjutsu, konan merely breaks out of it the same way shika did, and easily dodges the summons that part 1 shika was able to dodge.
Tayuya was chunnin level there's no way she is strong enough, if she had to go full power agaisn't a part 1 shikamaru, konan would destroy her with ease, like really.. and temari was so weak, like when she fought sasuke for example i know that it was convienient becuase she's a winf type but still... konan in my opinion is maybe higher than kakashi (maybe) st least on par with him tho
1. The whole thing was an ambush lol konoha wasnt expecting get attacked
2. Again konan has nothing on those summonings
Shika broke out of her genjutsu and yes konan can it depends how fast she realizes it tho
Remember those summons spit things that eat chakra, so even if she use clones or surronds her with paper, these snake like white things will just eat the chakra out of it or her
Again konan cant hit her if she can't get past the summonings then

1) all shinobi in konoha were on full alert for a long time, and konan continued to defeat shinobi after shinobi all the way until chou shinra tensei was used.
2) so that means all pain's feats in the attack on konoha are void since it was an 'ambush'?

Lol, summons that can be dodged by one kid shikamaru. Summons that can be triple restrained by shadow bind. summons have nothing on konan.
First, she is not even going to get hit by genjutsu since tayuya isn't going to be able to hide, and isn't going to be able to play her flute since she will have konan paper clones raining shurikens on her.
Once again, how is tayuya going to even use the summons when they are controlled by her flute, while she is bombarded with paper clones.
Kid shikamaru can avoid these summons, there is no way they will touch a konan who can fly, and use clones won't be able to.
Once again tayuya won't even be able to control those summons when she is getting attacked by a far faster/powerful/versatile opponent than kid shikamaru.
She cant play her flute and step backwards?
Faster? Is there proof of her speed?
Dodging paper bombs is ninja 101
it takes a few notes for tayuya to make her command her summon
if your whole argument is based on konan getting the first attack?
It takes secs for tayuya to play a few notes
And there's three of them, so when she's telling one to block, she can tell another to attack and if they spit those worms that eat chakra

if she manages to play the flute long enough to put konan under genjutsu without Konan discovering her and she attacks Konan with her beasts, wont Konan just be paper? Shikamaru performed shadow tech in the genjutsu she can just use her paper body tech to turn to many flimsy pieces of paper and use that to buy time to break the genjutsu.

So stepping backwards allows you to avoid all of konan's attacks now? I guess konoha jounin should learn to step backwards. Obviously jiraiya(someone much faster than tayuya) needed a little more than a 'step backwards' in order to avoid one of konan's most basic attacks:

able to blitz neji, something kidomaru couldn't do, the guy who needed another of the sound 4 to barely squeeze a win off of 1 tokubetsu jounin, the same jounin konan fodderized when she invaded konoha.
These are guided paper bombs.
No she controls them through melody, meaning if she stops playing they stop attacking.
My whole argument is that konan is on a tier above tayuya in everything which is why tayuya can barely beat a tokubetsu jounin 2 vs 1, while konan eats regular jounins for breakfast.
Once again, she controls the summons with her song, and konan is much much faster than she is.
Kid shikamaru can dodge those '6' (since I'm guessing you are counting chakra beast extensions as enemies).
You would have to make konan slower than part 1 shikamaru in order for those summons to even have a chance of touching her, as unlike shikamaru konan can disperse, and fly.
i know that you were all psyched that you thought you found a versus matchup where a seemingly weaker opponent defeats a seemingly much stronger one, but this is not the case, as tayuya would be beaten by an average tokubetsu jounin who is a rank below a regular jounin, whom konan fodderized when she invaded konoha. That's really all there is to it, if you still want to argue, then I would ask you to tell me how raido would beat tayuya.

Konan is an Akatsuki member for a reason.
Konan is faster, Stronger and we can assume she's got good chakra control and has other jutsu coz she was trained by Jiraiya, till the point where he stated that he had nothing else left to teach them. This was after he was given the title of one of the three sannin. And during the Sage vs God arc when she fought Jiraiya she put up a very good fight. During the Invasion of Konoha a paper clone was enough to take on Kiba, Hinata and Shino, who were Chunnin. The only time we've seen Konan in trouble was against Tobi, but even then she was impressive (not talking about her usage of Sea of Paper Bombs)
Tayuya on the other hand was one of Oro's henchmen and a member of the sound four. The sound four where whooped by Kimimaro alone even when they went second state. The sound four had a hard time against Genma and Raido so much so, that they had to go second state to beat them. Even then they were tired. This was all four of them. now if Tayuya were to go against them by herself she would'a been annihilated. She did pretty good for herself against shikamaru, a fresh Chunnin and in the end had him beat if it weren't for Temari who took down Tayuya. But still she was pushed to her limits by a Chunin.
In conclusion Konan >>>>>>>>> Tayuya

correct me if i'm wrong, but she didn't use paper bombs against Jman or konoha only against tobi
so its likely she doesn't have that on her all the time, since everything against tobi was prepared a long time before hand
You think if tayuya hides and plays her flute, konan will get there before she finishes? after she's played those "things" will attack and tayuya will just stay on the offensive
yet all we saw was her take out one fodder....
faster yes, but this isn't a race, your saying she blitzs her before tayuya finishes a melody? the melody aren't long and konan isn't no super speedy person
he wasn't dodging, he was hiding most of the time, until he figured out a plan and when shika gets a plan it works
shika was hiding the most of the time figuring out a plan, he wasn't dodging it like it was some taijutsu fight

Again you are making it seem like konan has infinite paper, this isn't tobi vs konan
paper clones are just like normal ones (spliting the chakra evenly amongst each clone)so i doubt she can split her chakra into even clones more then 2 or three times, we saw her make 2 during the invasion (one fighting in konoha, one outside of konoha and the original with nagato)
and if tayuya gets those summonings moving she has one for defense two others for offense, and konan will have to deal with those before she can deal with tayuya add those

Good match, though everybody is really underestimating Tayuya. She puts up a good fight but Konan has a jutsu that almost defeated Tobi so I would say Konan

He was the WEAKEST tokubetsu jounin, hence his constant coughing and getting owned by baki. Konan beat MULTIPLE jounins in pain's rampage in konoha.
She can manipulate paper freely, including paper bombs, it doesn't have to be 6 billion, but she still can guide many paper bombs at tayuya.
For the 100th time:
Konan is waaaaaaaaaay faster than tayuya and tayuya's 'things' who were evaded by shikamaru. Konan can make multiple paper clones, each which can disperse and reform into paper.
lol her mission was to search and interrogate, meaning she did that to tons of konoha shinobi, and came back to nagato without even getting damaged.
Any jounin is much faster than tayuya as we see the standard speed of a jounin is waaaaay faster than shikamaru, the guy who kept up with tayuya.
He still managed to dodge, and its not like konan will be taijutsuing these guys anyway.
btw, its cannon that raido = 2 tayuyas, yet there is no way for you to explain to me how raido beats her.
Let me ask you this, hanzo vs tayuya, who would win? tayuya right?
This match is simple power scaling when we know tayuya can't match a feat-less tokubetsu jounin, yet konan defeats multiple jounins in konoha.
