Kabuto emerged from the rocks of the grassy meadow, late at night. His snakes were devouring dead Grass Guards. “My mission is almost complete. Just one finally seed to plant…” He snuck into the castle master bedroom. He killed every one of Hi’s bodyguards silently. Hi still noticed.
“WHY ARE YOU HERE? LEAVE THIS PLACE NOW! YOU’VE CAUSED ME TO DO THINGS I REGRET!”
“You did everything on your own accord. I have but one little piece of information to give you, before we depart for good”
“I don’t want to hear it!” He went to get guards, but stopped upon hearing something.
“Your mother…is plotting to kill you”
“Lies…”
“Why do you think she hasn’t spoken with you?”
“What do you mean?”
“She wishes to become feudal lord and raise your child herself”
“What?”
Kabuto handed him a scroll, “This is her journal. Read about it yourself. Farewell”
Hi took it and said, “How do you know about everything?”
“The serpent always has knowledge to make the grass get consumed by the fires of revenge” He departed.

I read it, and knew! My mother is plotting against me! My own mother! I have to do something…something…something! What, though? I cannot let her kill me. Even for Ama’s sake. She is power hungry! Not I! She is wrong. I only hope the heavens look away tonight…Hide my deepest desires from her. I have to do it. It is my duty.

After an hour of contemplating, just after midnight, Hi crept into his mother’s chamber. His eyes had the Mangekyo Sharingan. ‘I must wake her…give her chance to explain herself.’ He threw the diary at her head. She awoke startled.
“Hi? What do you need?”
“We need to talk. Why do you want to kill me?”
“What? I don’t!”
“Really?” He pointed to the diary.
“Where did you get that?”
“Never mind that. Explain yourself before you are executed!”
“You wouldn’t kill you own mother, would you?”
“You would kill your own son”
“I meant it metaphorically. You have become colder, different since I fought you with Danzo”
“Or are you just jealous of my power and wealth?”
“I am not! Hi, please stop!”
“Explain yourself so that I might have mercy on you”
“I…we, including Ama, do not like your new personality. I wanted to metaphorically kill you, not in reality of course!”
“You appear nervous. Please explain though, what change have I overcome?”
“You have become crueler. All you care about is power, wealth, and glory! Your anger, and revenge all powered by emotion rather than logic! You have the curse of the Uchiha, our hatred and vehemence towards the world”
“I have not changed. I have always been ambitious”
“You’ve crossed the line from ambition to obsession. In fact, it all started with Kabuto, that miserable weasel!”
“No one influences me. He gave me information that helped me realize that I needed to protect Ama”
“Please Hi. Prove it to me. Make Ama feudal lord instead of you”
“See! All you two want is power! Not I!”

“No I haven’t, but now I must. AMATERASU!” Shinda shrieked in pain. As the black flames scorched her body.
“These flames are like your hatred and revenge! They consume people as they consume me! Remember Hell my boy! I love you, but am so disappointed in you! You have become…EEEEEEEVIIIIIIIIIIIL!” Within ten minutes she had become ash. Ama came running when she heard the scream. Everyone ran too. Lights all flickered on.
“Hi? What’s happened to you?” She stared at the last black flame on the ash pile. “YOU KILLED HER, DIDN’T YOU? JUST LIKE YOU KILLED THE FEUDAL LORD?” The servants gasped.
“SILENCE! Ama, I needed to”
“I’m done listening to your excuses Hi! The Land of Grass must know of your cruelty, not just these ten people”
“YOU BETTER NOT!” An orange shroud surrounded her, and arm bones extended and crushed Ama into the wall. “I can’t let you do that”
“What is that?” She said as she coughed up blood.
“The Susano’o. It’ll be the last time you’ll see it unless you remain silent”
“NO! I WON’T! I’M TIRED OF YOUR LIES! YOU SAY YOU DID THIS FOR ME, BUT YOU DID IT FOR YOURSELF! YOU WANTED POWER! NOW YOU HAVE IT! YOU ALSO HAVE A TICKET STRAIGHT TO HELL? HAPPY? YOU WANTED A CHILD, YOU GOT IT! HE’S ABOUT TO HAVE DIVORCED PARENTS, HAPPY? I’LL BET YOU’RE GRIN IS GENUINE. HI, WHAT’S WRONG WITH YOU NOW? WAS IT KABUTO?”
“I’M TIRED OF PEOPLE SAYING THAT! NOBODY INFLUENCES ME!” he said as he flung Ama hard into the ground with the arm. “YOU KNOW WHAT? LET’S DIE TOGETHER! AMATERASU!” The whole mansion started to catch on fire.
“THE BABY!”

“I used to love you too. Now, I can’t love a disloyal wife!” The bony hand crushed her limp body. Blood sprayed across the floor. He cried tears of blood. “What have I done? I am…a shell. A powerful shell. A glorious shell, a wealthy shell! A void filled to the brim with superfluous items!” He grabbed his kunai and stabbed himself with it. Instantly dead, he landed next to Ama’s corpse.
Kabuto appeared and said, “And after the grass is consumed by the fire the serpent gave, the serpent returns to scavenge the remains of a once green, lustrous grass, now nothing more than ash.”

Yes, this is the ending. I know, it’s sad. I had an alternate, less sad version, but chose sadness instead. Read the epilogue that will come out later tonight. Tell me what you think. The epilogue explains what happened to the baby.
