Chapter 3
I didn't know that I was in the hospital of the Hidden Leaf Village. What happened back at the Hidden Sound? Neither Naruto nor the gray haired man called Kakashi told me what had happened. All I could do right now is to lay on my bed and rest until my energy recovers.
Three days have passed since the incident happened and for those three days, Naruto visited me and babbled various thing that made my body feel better than before. He is a ninja,huh? I never knew what a ninja is until he explained it to me and the other things that I never knew. He's very kind. I never thought that someone would even come close to me and talk to me in a friendly way. It feels nice. Very nice.
I took this opportunity to ask him about the Hidden Sound Village. "Naruto, please tell me what happened at the Hidden Sound Village? Why did you suddenly rescued me? Please tell me!" I pleaded as I grabbed his hand tightly.
Naruto gave me a rueful stare and sighed." Alright, I'll tell you. Is that okay, sensei?" he said, looking over his shoulders.
Kakashi-san suddenly appeared, crossed his arms over his chest and nodded at Naruto, leaning on the wall near my bed.
" The village and the villagers that you grew up with....didn't exist." Naruto said in a sudden serious tone.
I froze in shock. " What? They don't exist? But...how?"
" Someone hypnotized you." Kakashi-san interrupted." He must be very skilled to have you believed that everything is real, so far and surely, he would use you for his purpose."
I jerked nearly out of the bed. "Who?!" I angrily shouted, couldn't control my temper." Who would dare do this to me?! Who?!" I was fuming with hatred and anger. I've been alone, all alone, for seven years and now, I'll be used as a tool?!
" Calm down, Takara!" Naruto hollered as he grabbed my shoulders to get me back to bed." We still don't know who this person is," and for a second, he showed me his infamous smirk and clenched his hand to a fist. " And don't worry! We'll get him for sure!!"
Again, his energy washed the wildfire in me and I gradually lay back on my pillow, my face flushed from embarassment.
Kakashi-san cleared his thoart. " Let me continue. We couldn't get a clear identity of him but from our gathered information, he is a ninja of the Hidden Sound Village who is very skilled at hypnosis and he uses his hypnosis to trick people. As for you, by the time Naruto saved you, you were not in the village. You were inside his hideout. But when we invaded his hideout, he wasn't in there and that's where we found you. My guess is that he won't give up on you that easily, since you have that voice, or rather, your singing."
My singing? Well, I understand, since my singing can break anyone who even hears it and I concluded that he'll use me for it but on what purpose?I started to worry. I looked at Naruto with a worried face.
" Don't worry!" Naruto reassured me with determined eyes. " I'll never let him touch you ven an inch!"
I smiled, knowing that someone will be on my side after those long years of loneliness.
Naruto went off the hospital to meet someone and that leaves me and Kakashi-san alone in my room. I still couldn't freely talked to anyone here except for Naruto and I feel awkard that Kakashi-san is staring at me intensely.
" Did you know that Naruto was once alone, all by himself?" He suddenly asked, looking outside the window beside me.
" He was once alone?" I repeated with a surpised tone.
" He doesn't look like it, huh? With his energetic and optimistic personality, he doesn't look like he was alone at all. But, he was ever since he was still a kid and the villagers disregareded him." Kakashi-san said.
" Why?" I asked, getting used to him.
" He has a beast sealed inside him." Kakashi-san answered in a serious voice.
I flinched and gasped. There was a beast inside him?! " I never knew. Naruto didn't told me." I murmured sadly, looking down.
"Maybe because he doesn't want you to be scared of him but, you know?" Kakashi-san said, looking at me in the eye. "It didn't bother him that the beast was inside him. He still urged forward to earn the villagers' trust. Along the battles and trials that he encountered, he met comrades who helped him get up when he was in pain and in the end, he earned the villagers' trust."
"Why are you telling me this?" I curiously asked him.
Kakashi-san took another look outside the window and he turned to look at me with his eyes smilling. " Because I want you to do the same and that is also what Naruto wants you to do."
