Right, then.
When your fire jutsu hits my water jutsu, it's annihilated, but the water jutsu still exists. Then, when the water jutsu is combined with the wind jutsu, the resulting tornado sends your earth meteors far off course, out of range. Then, I combine the whole thing with lightning, creating a gigantic water wind tornado with S-rank lightning within it, heading towards both of you.

The water wouldn't evaporate when it faced the fire, as water>fire. If it evaporates, that means water=fire. And, especially in this case, water>fire, as the techniques were of the same rank, but of different elemental types.
And the meteors aren't made of fire. They're simply flaming rock. The wind generated from the tornado blows the rocks off course and out of range.
