My Uncle is a WTF Georgian Taekwondo Champion
with over 200 medals and also did Karate ShotoKan.
My brother is also very good at Taekwondo, but none of them are with me for now. I asked my uncle if I should do Taekwondo on skype and he told me It is a bit too late for me since i am already 16 (he started when he was 9 and is now 25).
I have done taekwondo practice with him when we use to live together at home and enjoyed it.
Do you think I should go Taekwondo or Should I do Boxing(which will be easier to find),Kick Boxing. I was thinking of doing muay Thai but they are brutal and it is probably super hard to find a GOOD muay Thai place in England close to me.
What should I do?
Lmao! Too late? That is ridiculous. Then again TKD in general can be ridiculous. Don't get me wrong, many of the best martial artists I know all started with TKD, but they all also learned Muay Thai to fill the gaps. Odds are they could have been just as good with just Muay Thai.
Not even remotely late. Do Muay Thai or boxing if you want to learn to fight effectively. Unless you find it too rough. Then start with tae Kwon do or a more traditional style similar to that.
Mixed martial arts that use bjj for ground and Muay Thai for striking is really the best thing to train in. What part of England are you in? Mma is incredibly popular in the uk these days.
