Ok, so first just tell me the difference between regular kenjutsu, and Samurai swordsmanship, Kenjutsu.
Regular ken would just be normal sword based attacks I suppose, which can be chakra or not. Its a general term
Samurai swordsmanship specifically refers to kenjutsu techs taught to samurai from the land of iron, and typically contain stronger and faster sword techniques as these are specialized for samurai specifically
Kenjutsu, like regular ken, is sword based techniques. Samurai swordsmanship may fall under this term, as does normal kenjutsu

Right ok, so theres Iaidō, Iaido: Kyūban sōdo and Iaigiri which are all based on Iaido.

Iaido is the quick movement of drawing and striking with a sword and re sheathing it, quite often seen in movies, anime etc. Apart from looking pretty cool, when used in close range of an opponent it can even prevent an opponent from weaving seals. It has a short range, where it generally can be seen as a quick dash forward, draw, strike then re-sheath.
Note, (which more specifically doesnt really apply to you, but jsut for reference) the speed of the technique is relative to the rank of a user. So coming up against a Sage using this, they may be able to use it quicker than you, however you will be faster than anyone below your rank.

(Iaidō) - Art of Quick Draw and re-sheathing the sword
Rank: A
Type: Offensive, Defensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: 60
Description: Iaidō is a form of kenjutsu where the user quick draws the blade extremely fast to strike, then re-sheathing it. This method prevents enemies from using hand seals, thus preventing them from using Ninjutsu making it highly effective against enemy ninja. General Mifune of the Land of Iron is a master of this style, making him highly effective against even ninja of caliber of Sasuke Uchiha and Hanzō the Salamander. (The speed of the technique is equivilant to that of the rank of the user)
Note: Can only be used by Samurai biographies

Iaido: Kyūban sōdo is the same technique, but with the blunt edge of the blade performing a non leathal strike. Useful when keeping an opponent alive, preventing a lethal strike.

Iaigiri is the same strike, but more specifically in a downward slash.

(Iaido: Kyūban sōdo) - Art of the Quick Drawing and Resleathing: Sucker Sword
Type: Offensive
Rank: A
Range: Short
Chakra: N/A
Damage: 60
Description: Using the basic application of the quick drawing method of Kendo, the samurai will draw their sword at blinding speeds equal to the ranking speed of the orignal Iaido Technqiue. But rather than slashing the target, the samurai will turn the blade to the duller side and smash the blade along either the neck or the head, which can even knock the target out if done so. This is done with incredible speed and brute force in conjunction with using the blunt side of the sword.

Note: Only useable by Samurai bios.
Note: Only useable four times per battle.
Note: Courtesy of Nakiri

( Iaigiri ) - Iai Beheading Technique
Type: Offensive
Rank: B
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user, using the art of Iaido to quickly draw their katana, will then uses both hands to create a downward slash, thus cutting the opponent. This jutsu was strong enough to cut Hanzo's salamander Ibuse head clean open. ( The speed of the technique depends upon the users rank meaning the higher the rank the quicker the user can perform the technique )
Note: Can only be used by Samurai biographies

Any questions?

Two more techs that require Iaido. One to strike multiple opponents around you, and the second which is more of a flair than anything else.
First, dashing to short range, you can strike opponents as you pass them in quick succession.
Second, is more a standing still striking in a circle.
While the first techniques were useful for attacking a single opponent, these are more useful for striking multiple opponents.

( Yōjinbō ) – Dance Blade Risk
Rank: A
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: 60
Description: The user performs a quick dash towards his opponent, and by using the art of Iaido to quickly draw and slashing their opponent and quickly passing them. The opponent only feels the damage as the user sheaths their sword.
Note: Requires Iaido

( Zettai Tōroku ) - Absolute Inscription
Rank: A
Type: Attack
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: 60
Description: The user quickly draws his sword, slashing everything around himself and is capable of attacking multiple opponents with quick speeds.
Note: Must have first learnt Iaido.

Yeah the first is a regular strike and the 2nd is really good for defense I'd say. As well as just being surrounded by multiple targets
