Death Gun obviously didn't kill Sinon because she is the main character and it's only the 8th episode. Very dramatic and Kirito probably slashed the bullet in the last second.

OT--> Yeah beast episode. She'll most likely live imo. I think there are more than one death gun (maybe one in real life and one in GGO) to actually kill the people. Unless this anime goes into magic/supernatural stuff.
