Heya! Alright, so I'll be training you only for now so I shouldn't be too long to reply (though I'm about to head out now for some family chores), but if I don't reply for a day or two, feel free to VM me as much as you like!

So, to begin with, what makes Swift so special and craved for in our RP? How do you plan to use it and what intrigues you the most about it?

What makes Swift so special and craved for in our RP?

Well I would say Swift is as special as it is because of the immense speed's someone can move at when using this special ability, it also seems to be the second closest thing people can get to using FTG without having a Minato bio. Swift is also craved in our roleplay because of the large CQC potential it holds, as a CQC lover myself this is what intrigued me the most and made me want to chase after it since ive started roleplaying, I saw the way Yard used it and began racing towards being able to learn it.

How do you plan to use it and what intrigues you the most about it?

I plan on using Swift to trick and overpower my opponent early in a fight, while also combining it with powerful Tai and elemental combos. The thing that intrigues me the most about Swift is just how versatile it can be, these days a lot of people tend to not fight in CQC and being able to land quick and decisive blows on them not giving them much time to react is something some people might not be able to handle all at once instead they would be more comfortable just doing S rank tennis. Also being able to layer Swift with Tai and Elemental combos seems like fun and would suit my bio quite well

Completely agree. I often appreciate a really, well-detailed CQC fight myself and it'll be nice to see others implement this during their fights instead of going for the instant KO.

Alright then, I suppose I shall begin detailing with the basics of the technique. Firstly, do you know what two elements make up Swift and why?
Also, while Swift is a really useful ability to have, what are some downsides to it and how might you prevent these downsides from hindering you during a fight?

Yes, Lightning and Wind make up Swift Release. I would say wind because of how Wind helps perform quick and decisive actions quicker, and Lightning because of how fast lightning is and due to it's power like we have Thunder during storms and they hit pretty damned fast so that would be why I believe these 2 make up this KKG

Hmm, some downsides might be that the constant need for having to perform the Boar hand sign might be a downside since if you needed to evade a powerful move you might not have enough reaction time to perform the hand sign then perform the technique. To try and prevent this from happening perhaps simply interrupt the opponent with my speed or some other mean? I can't seem to think of many other disadvantages at this point

Precisely! Wind and Lightning are elements that are quite formless, especially wind. Their speed easily outmatches the other elements, especially lightning.

Indeed, the Boar handseal is a hindrance and can alert an experience opponent to what you're about to do, but you're still missing some major points.
1. When using Swift release, you can only move in a straight line. Furthermore, your execution of moves must be fairly simple. Knowing this, how might you try to use Swift in a battle despite this downside?
2. When you reach close range of your opponent to execute Taijutsu or even a short range jutsu, you are required to slow down and become visible to the naked eye. How might you use this to your advantage?
3. It is very hard to execute Swift release on unsolid grounds, especially on water, ice, mud, sand, etc. However, you are able to use the Swift ability in mid-air. What is a good way to prevent the opponent from taking advantage of the "unsteady ground" weakness?
