it dont look like their no faster then each other

ik its just a video game. but he moves as fast as swift as we remember in the manga

The game is not a good representation of the FTG. Teleportation is instanstaneous, meaning that there would be no movement between the two points of travel.

Minato only uses FTG when he is using the seal (either a Kunai, or a seal put before hand somewhere or on an enemy/ally)

And Nothing is Faster than FTG because it is a S/T jutsu, there is no actual movement involved.

ehh, both have their uses.

Ftg is instant, and perhaps a better survival tool, as you can teleport out of range instantly if you have a marker.

on the other hand, personally i'd prefer swift release in close combat. It's probably fast enough that the sharingan can't keep up, and you don't need markers so it gives you more of an advantage vs opponents.
