SW & Film Z cannon or not?

Who reckons they aren't because I say they are, why, because in both Chapter 0 & Volume Z(they're cannon) the outcome of both films are hinted.

But what about the warlord that became a warlord during the timeskip. He's introduced in Z as the guy that cut his arm.

It is debatable as it alters how they enter the New World....with the anime it implemented a new entrance in order to do the Admiral Z promo for the movie. Unless it is made to be during some random point during the New World, or they change the entrance into the New World, it won't be able to logically exist as a canon film.

I really thought it was Cannon. It kind of fits in the story too, between surfacing to the New World and Punk Hazard.

The anime verse and the manga verse are two different verses. With them changing the anime as to where the crew entered the New World, it became different then the manga so they can say the movie took place after fishman island and punk hazard.

Basically, Z is cannon to the anime and not the manga. If your definition of cannon is manga only, then no, Z is not cannon. If you believe them to be two different verses because they are done by two different artists, Oda doing the manga and Toei Animation for the anime, then you can say Z is cannon to the anime and not the manga. Kinda like how they made the Bount Arc in Bleach cannon to the anime and not the manga.

I agree with this. And the anime even did a "previously on OP" featuring the anime filler arc connected to the movie
