I just can't help it. I want you to call him Tobi, not Madara for now, because we all know the true Madara didn't train Itachi and it was Tobi the one who partnered up with him. Even though Tobi is most likely Madara Uchiha, he is a much weaker version. And we have yet to see his EMS.

2.madara did said that if itachi knows his secret he would be dead (manga chapter 397 pg 10)

Dude, seriously. That was so not a lie. Madara feared him like a race car driver would fear a tough track: its not that it can't be overcome but its difficult to do it. Also, being a teacher does'nt mean the student can't be tougher. Or are you trying to say Jiraiya was tougher than Minato( you'd have to be mentally retarded esp after the last chapter).

Not everything itachi said is going to be a lie because a few thing he said were lies. There was a reason for him saying what you pointed out, but he was'nt lying about madara training him.
On that same page he says madara tamed the 9 tails, and that's been shown to be true. Also, he said the eye stealing bit because he did'nt want sasuke to know that he was on konoha's side.

1. Madara never directly attack konoha, pain did.
2. Because itachi would have stopped him, duh.
3. That still does'nt disprove that itachi was trained by Madara(i will call him that until kishi, the creator of the manga says something else).
