I've been seeing a lot of people stating that all of the 5 Kage's bodyguards would be support only characters in the game and I just wanted to know where people are getting that information from.
They said there would be some support only characters using Iruka as a reference of someone who could only be made as a support only character. They haven't confirmed who is and isn't support only characters. "■Like Storm 1, there will be some characters that are playable and others that are support only. This is because for some of the characters, like Iruka, many jutsu have not been shown. CC2 does not want to invent styles and attacks for characters as they may be shown in the manga. They want to wait until the end of the Naruto manga to make a true sequel to Storm 2." from (
Since they are having characters from Part 1 then a lot of them could be the support only characters. They could be planning on including most of the support only characters from that game...the only one that was support only that became playable in the second game was Asuma.
Granted Chojuro, Ao, Kurosuchi, Akasuchi, Fu, Torune, and C didn't really do anything. C, Fu, Torune, Chojuro, and Akasuchi only show one jutsu and almost no fighting style during the 5 Kage arc.
I wonder if Darui will make it as a playable character though...honestly we saw more fighting from him than we saw from Onoki during the 5 Kage summit. Darui showed three ninjutsu's his Water release: Water encampment wall, Lightning Release: Wave of Inspiration, and Storm Release: Laser Circus. We also got to see some of his fighting style and his ability to add lightning to his sword attacks. We only saw Onoki fly and do his dust release...heck we only saw Mizukage do her lava release and boil release.
Onoki and Mizukage are confirmed as playable even though we didn't see much from them during the 5 Kage Summit. So what qualifies who's playable and who's not and please if someone has the information, feel free to share it.
