To be honest i don't think possesing sam would benefit Lucifer much, demons/humans/psychics can't even look at an angels true form without having their eyes burned out something tells me that seeing Lucifers true form would be a tad worse.

I am starting to think Ruby is in league with the yellow eyes and is making sam use his powers for some evil purpose, and to be honest its not hard i would probably be exactly like Sam but i can understand where Dean is coming from and Dean is most likely the one who is right.
