Last question. Are you ready to rumble?
Nope, but I hope you're ready to swim *a shadow suddenly emerges over you as a mass of water comes down over you head from a few meters in the air leaving you drenched*

Now then I want you to explain to me the following:

  • What is Water Release
  • How Does this nature act
  • Relationships with other Elements (Standard and Advanced Elements)

Hint: What I'm asking for for the second bullet, I'm asking for you to use what you know of water and personify it. Use adj. to tell me your best interpritation of how this nature "acts" And for relationships with the other elements. I want more than the shallow relations of strengths, weaknesses and neutrality. I want you to tell me all of the former as well as how water can be used in conjunction with other elements, and not just the five elements, but other advanced elements as well. For help refer to

Any questions just ask

>Water release, also known as Suiton, is one of the 5 basic nature transformations. This release allows the user to manipulate water from any existing water source and water created from the users chakra.

>Water itself is an compound in nature. It's atoms are lose and flow over each other. This allows water to be able to flow unless contained. It is clam and soothing, just listening to it can but anyone to sleep. It can either be very calm and soothing, or it can be fast moving and rough, as seen in storms and waterfalls. Water can be changed very easily in conjunction with different elements. lightning is easily conducted through it, and fire can evaporate it. When Water release is combined with Fire release this creates Steam release. Although water's physical state can be changed to steam and ice it can still be manipulated from the small particles of water in the air and the water on ice. The only real way to stop Water release is to contain it by using Earth release.
(Since this is really unorganized I will give a very short explanation. Water is a very clam and relaxed nature type. It flows easily and can be manipulated by other nature types like Lightning and Fire. Fire + Water= Steam and Water + Cold temperature= Wind. Because Water can be changed so easily Earth can also just contain the water stopping it from flowing.)

>Water + Fire = Steam
Water + Wind = Ice

For the most part you're correct, to address the way to stop water, containing it isn't necessarily the only method that can be used to stop it. You can redirect the water if there's a large enough force of obstruction. I'll explain to you why here
_________

Water is a more or less passive element by nature. It flows freely and takes the shape of whatever it is contained in. I call it passive as it is a yeilding element which goes and flows however the external forces and nature dictate it to. For example; still water will move and ripple at the slightest touch, a river flowing straight will move around a rock and take an alternate direction instead of just going through the rock. Wind can cause water to move in different directions. This is one of the reasons why water, a yeilding element, is opposite to earth, an unyeilding element. That rock in the bank of the river will not move for the water, it will stay firm. If the rock were to walk through the river straight, the water would go around the rock, not the other way around. This is a rudamentary understanding, however water itself can be very powerful and forceful. A large enough mass of water may disroot the rock if strong enough. Water may be condensed to a fine area and move at great speeds to cause a powerful impact. That is where variables come in, which is what any element manipulates, the variables of the properties that can enhacne an element's potential. If you want to look at things in terms of balance, Taoism and philosophies behind water and it's general movement. Water is the Yin half, not forceful, yeilding and water redirects energy instead of meeting it head on. The Chinese Internal styles of martial arts talk about redirecting your opponents force back onto them which is essentially a property of water (the redirection that is). Force is not met with force rather the force is allowed to continue until redirected suddenly, often times against even harder forces that are much stronger. An example would be if somebody were to punch you. They are traveling in one direction at a certian speed. You simpley move out of the way while guiding the fist further in that direction, increasing the speed. Should there be a wall behind them, they make impact with that wall and most often hurt their hand.

Does this help you understand water a little better?

Senpai actually, but np xd

Now I'm going to break down how I train my students. Now the training style I use is different from most othesr you'll encounter. I use the system which was created and developed by Lili-chwan and Scorps as a way to increase the efficiency of training students. Instead of teaching you 1, 2, or 3 techniques at a time and having go up in the ranks (D, C, B, A, S), We train by grouping every technique in the element into sepreate categories. what decides what technique goes in which category is based on the properties of the techniques have. Techniques that have the same properties will go in the categories, regardless of rank. So for example, in the first method you may learn no D-ranks or A-ranks but learn C, B, and S ranked techniques. You will learn the general concepts behind each of the methods which should give you a good understandiing of how most technqiues are preformed in each method therefore decreasing the need for you to learn every single technique. Now, on top of that I have my own way of going about this method which is as follows.
________________________
Method 1: Basic Projectiles
Method 2: Streams/Water Sources
Method 3: Water Manipulation
Method 4: Alternative Releases (Water/Oil/Syrup)
Method 5: Specifics (Body Liquid)

These are the four methods in this element. From this point on here is what we're going to be doing.

(1) I will give you the method and explain to you, in depth, what the method entails and then allow for any questions of clarrification

(2) I will give you bullet points of words/phrases that I will ask you to define/explain that will show me if you understand this method if I am satisfied with your explanations, we will continue. If not I will have you tweak them.

(3) I will then post all the jutsu within the category with full explinations and then you will have to do the following
~Explain the Advantages of the Method
~Explain the Disadvantages of the Method
~Discuss Strategies you could use with jutsu from this method
If I'm satisfied with these three aspects, we will continue and repeat the cycle from the top.

Any questions?

Method 1: Basic Projectiles

Alright these techniques involve creating projectiles like shuriken or kunai. Shuriken and Kunai are examples of projectiles and are not limited to that scope. When you hear and think of projectiles, you think of objects that you launch or project towards your opponent. They're something that leaves your possession and treavels towards your opponent. There is nothing different when it comes to suiton projectiles. All you're doing is launching water at your opponent as you would any other projectile. Now, with water and any other element that uses projectiles you tend to use a lot of shape manipulation. Reason is, is because you need to make the projectiles strong enough damage your opponent (peirce them, knock them back with blunt force, etc). Water or any other element at its base is just raw unformed element. By using shape manipulation you form the shape of the projectile you want. As well, you also compress the element to a degree which allows for a certian density which is always good. With these water projectiles, you will be exhaling them from the mouth. You will first inhale and focus the chakra from your core and channel it up into you lungs and mouth. You will then exhale; the chakra you gathered in your lungs helps propell the water, and the mouth is the point of release. You use shape manipulation to then form the water into whatever shape you need it to be, whether it be a ball or something more advanced like a shark. The water is also compressed in a tight container (the bounderies you create by shaping it) therefore when it makes impact with the target they'll generally recieve a blunt impact that knocks them back, has the capability to knock the wind out of them, bruise them, maybe break bones or damage the organs and cause shock. Also, if fast enough and small enough, the density from the tightly compressed nature and the speed may be able to peirce like a bullet.

alright then, tell me how you would preform the following

  • Create several average sized balls of water:
  • Create a large bullet of rotating water:
  • Create a shark shaped bullet of water:

Sorry for the late reply. RL got in the way

For preforming the first task the user would have to manipulate from a source of water, or create water by using Suiton chakra. With using the first option the user would have to use his or her chakra to manipulate the water and create spheres of water. To use this offensivly. the user would make the water that had been shaped by his or her chakra to rise very quickly up and out of tje water. When using no water source the user would have to manipulate his or her own chakra and create water. After that iit is the same concept. but it. would be released from the mouth.

For the second jutsu the user would use the same manipilation and concept of the average size water spheres. The onnly difference is the in making bullets, they would be moving faster and would have to be rotating. To do this the user would again use a previouswater source. Add chakra to the sourrce of water, and manipulate the water to shape into an arrowdynamic bullet.. Flat at the end and comez to a time at the front of the bullet. Thenusing the bullet created in the water the user would rotate ot by manipulateing the chakra inside the bullet to spin by rotating the chakra. To finish it the user would again manipulate the bullet to shoot out of the water by using the chakra

For the last task., the user would have to use a high level of shape manipulation to create a shark from water. By using a previous water source, the user would add hiss chakra into the water and useit to shape out a shark. First shaping out the front and working to the back, by adding fins gills and a tail. After creating a shark as used I'm every other shape manipulation jutsu the user would release tthe jutsu out of the water very quickly and would head towards their opponent.

First note, these are all self created projectiles meaning they're being exhaled from the body so there is no necessity for an existing water source here. Whenever you think of projectiles for the most part concerning the five elements, they are generally released from your body as opposed to using an external source of chakra.

Second note, the process of using an outside source of water would not be the same as creating your own water and then releasing it. When using a previously existing water source for your technique, you're infusing your chakra outwards and manipulating the water to act in the way you want whether it be to create weapons, projectiles, advanced shapes, etc. When exhaling from the mouth or simply creating your own water with chakra you'll transfer the chakra upwards through your lungs and into your mouth. With the projectiles, you manifest the suiton chakra into actual water and use shape manipulation create the intended shape and the chakra in your lungs will help propell the suiton projectile as you spew it out of your mouth. Creating your own source is essentially the same as what you would do when manipulating an already existing sournce only you creat the water in the shape/form you want it in as opposed to manipulating pre-existing water.

Method 1

(Suiton No Jutsu) - Water technique
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary/Attack/Defence
Range: Short-Mid
Damage Points:20
Description: Creates small waves of water, small blasts, and small shields of water.

Alright, basic enough. With this technique you use suiton and shape manipulation to create waves, small blasts, and projectiles out of water. Though the description is short and vague you pretty much have free mobility to create almost any type of shape or manifestation of water you want with this technique since it's the fundamental of the whole element.

(Suiton: Teppoudama) - Water Style: Water Bullet
Rank: C
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Descripton: A large sphere of rotating water that is spit out of the users mouth that can blast a huge area leaving it soaked.

Easy enough to explain, you channel suiton chakra up from the core, through the lungs and mouth and then exhale it while causing it to rotate as well as shaping it into a sphere of water. It's pretty big and the added projection from your mouth and the rotation makes this a technique that impacts strongly on its target.

(Suiton: Suikoundan) - Water Style: Water shark bomb
Rank: C
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Description: A water projectile shaped like a shark that comes crashing down on the opponent.
(No water source required)

A bullet of water, just like the technique above, however you don't exhale this technique, you create the water with your chakra and the moisture around you thereby giving you the source of water. Using shape manipulation like in the above technique (though on a more advanced scale), you shape it into a shark and send it towards your opponent.

(Suiton: Teppoudama) - Water Style: Water Bullet
Rank: B
Type: Offense
Range: Short/Long
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: 40
Description: The user gathers water in their mouth and then spits out a large sphere of rotating water that can blast a huge area leaving it soaked.

Same exact technique as the C-ranked technique only stronger.

(Suiton: Daikōdan no Jutsu) – Water Release: Great Shark Missile Technique
Rank: S
Type: Attack
Range: Short – Long
Chakra cost: 40
Damage points: 80
Description: The user performs Tiger – Serpent hand seals to create a stronger version of the Water Release: Water shark Bomb technique, which creates a gigantic shark, far larger than the user, to attack the opponent. This technique differs from its parent jutsu in being able to absorb the chakra from an opponent's technique, and in turn use that chakra to grow larger and more powerful.
Note: Technique can only absorb up to B rank level techniques.

Same technique as the Water Shark bomb, however this is on a much much larger scale and the water has absorption abilities, capable of absorbing B-ranked techniques. This doesn't require a source of water I believe so you don't have to worry about that.

Now, if you have no questions pertaining to any of the techniques, I want you to tell me the following:

Advantages to this Method:
Disadvanteges to this Method:
Strategies and uses for techniques in this Method:

Now what I mean about the above are: These techniques all have things in common with one another, as do all the techniques in any given method do, which is the reason they're grouped together. That being said, every method with their jutsu have traits that are both useful and hindering. I want you to tell me what those traits are. Look at these jutsu and tell me things you think they have in common. If the're good then they're an advantage, if they're not good then they're a disadvantage. As for the strategies, tell me some applications for these techniques in conjunction with other skills or used in opposition against other skills, etc, etc.

If you have no questions, you can proceed and do this.

Before I start naming advantages and disadvantages, I want to say that the traits between all of these from the first look is shape manipulation and projectiles. The basic principal in all of the moves we manipulated the water into a certain shape and shot it outwards.
Advantages to this Method: This Method of water jutsus allows the user to attack from a range an cause potential damage. Another advantage of this method is that you can use a projectile and then use another combination move, like lightning, in conjunction to cause even more damage. Another advantage is the fact that you do not have to use an existing water source to create any of these attacks.
Disadvantages to this Method:Because this requires shape manipulation, some of these attacks may need a substantial amount of chakra and may use more time than expected. As these moves are also projectiles, the opponent can see them and can counter them unless are used from a concealed location without your opponents knowing.
Strategies and uses for techniques in this Method:The techniques you can use in this Method leave an opening for a conjunction with a lightning attack. If the attack does not hit directly, you can electrify the air and harm your opponent. This is because electricity travels fast through water. You could use the Great Shark Missile to absorb moves and it also has destructive power. Also because all of these moves are projectiles, you can shoot them from long range and keep the battle at a distance.

I apologize, it's been almost two weeks since I responded to your training :shy: don't forget to remind me you know, you can do that after a week passes.
_______________________

First addressing your advantages, you're on the right track with it. What you need to understand about this method is that all techniques in this method are self sustaining, meaning once you've released them, they will take care of the rest. It doesn't require you to add additional chakra or continue to add to the technique. That is what allows you to use other techniques in conjunction with it. Also, generally, these techniques allow for you to release several projectile shot at once which gives you a wider range to attack your opponent with.

As for the disadvantages, the factor of shape manipulation isn't the real issue. The issue that you'll face is the easiness of these techniques to be avoided, minus select few techniques. Like with every projectile, once they're released, they travel to a specific target and their trajectory doesn't change once launched. The path of these techniques are usually liniar when their travel, meaning all your opponent has to do is either obstruct the projectile's path or move out of the way. Now in this RP you can't just say "I dodge your attack" you have to use jutsu/techniques to do that. For example, using earth release technique to move yourself up into the air or to the side or out of range of the attack. A commonly used evasion method is the Wind Release: Hurricane Fist which release a wind that allows for users to avoid projectiles. Also, as you're capable of dividing the number of projectiles to attack your opponent on several different angles, you also inevitably weaken your overall attack. Every attack you use is composed of a specific amount of chakra. When you divide that technique, you're dividing the chakra into equal portions which essentially weakens the projectiles the more you divide them. It's like the Shadow Clone technique. You're chakra is evenly distributed between each clone, that's the same principle as when you divide one large bullet into several bullets.

Do you have any questions or things you'd like to add?

Very well,
____________

Method 2: Streams/Water Sources

This method involves creating constant streams of water as well as creating water sources. What I mean is, the techniques in this method continuously releases water and/or creates such a large mass of water, it provides a suitable water source for you to use other Suiton techniques that do need a source of water. Now what this would mean is, you have to constantly fuel the techniques with your chakra in order to keep the on pour of water coming out or else you will not be able to create the streams or the large masses of water. These techiques don't generally require a large amount of shape manipulation. Some techniques do however most are just you creating a mass of water or stream of water where you would, therefore, simply pour your chakra into the technique and create an unfocused wave of water that travels towards your destination. These techniques also provide you with a wider and, potentially longer, range of reach to your opponents. There is also the granted advantage of control over the technique. As opposed to projectiles, where you release them and their self sustaining nature takes over and there is no further control from the users, most of these techniques allow for you to manipulate in different general directions to allow you to hit your target even if they move out of the immediate range.

Any questions?
