Rising out of the murky lagoon before you, the masked man soaking wet slowly drags his feet in your direction, weary from a tiresome battle. Placing his right hand in front of his chest, he begins to manipulate the water his clothes absorbed, pulling his hand away from his body to signify the extraction of moisture, forming that same liquid into a sphere of condensed water and tossing it towards you.

Think fast. Now, tell me all you know of Water Release.

*Godric looks at the masked man who suddenly appeared before him and stops whistling and then realizes that the masked man is Kakazu Sensei. Sensei throws a water ball at him and it falls just a feet away from Godric on whom the water splashes. Wiping himself he says.*

Ahh Sensei....

*Before Godric could complete his sentence Sensei asks him a question. Godric thinks for a moment and then says.*

Water is one of the Basic 5 Elements. It is strong to Fire Techs as Water extinguishes Fire. Water can be used best with lightning element as Water is a natural conductor of electricity. It is weak to Earth Element as Earth Techs can withstand the force of fast flowing water techs. Water can also be used in combination with wind in order to increase it's force and destructive capacity. Water forms a part of various KG like Ice Release,Wood Release, Rain Release, Boil Release and Storm Release.

Kakuzu listens attentively to his students recollection of Water release, taking note that his student has seen a few battles or has done some through research.

"Not bad, your current level knowledge on Suiton is something to work with. Mostly correct, however its not an underused element, actually quite a common elemental affinity. Its rare to find those who can utilize large-scale jutsus (Forbidden Ranks), though. I'll give you a run down of all of the basic elements (especially Suiton), to flesh out your understanding. Make sure to commit this to memory, it will be useful knowledge for the future. Once you've read and understood the following, we will continue."

Water is the most calm and free-flowing elements. These characteristics dictate its nature, making it useful in combat due to the fluidity and intense lack of control that is required to utilize it. Lightning and Fire take extreme control, but manipulation of water takes calmer movements and so controlling it comes more naturally. While its the calmest element, it can also become one of the most destructive. Putting a large amount of force behind of wave gives it power that can't be paralleled by all the other elements. In terms of scale, Water has the highest potential to be the "best" element, a clear testament of this is Kisame of the Akatsuki. Water comes in three main forms: normal water, sticky water and oily flammable water. As you correctly stated, Water is strong against Fire as it forcibly extinguishes the flames, whilst it is weak against earth and similar solid elements, since they both block and dissipate Suiton attacks.

Earth Release is often considered the element of sturdiness and durability. Unlike other elements which come and go with time, it is an ever eternal presence in the environment which endures all types of weather regardless of how harsh conditions become. Earth can be used as a shield or blockade defensively to dissipate the force of powerful waves of water or non-cutting gusts of wind. It can withstand great heats, acting as a heat sink but also as a physical barrier to prevent weapons passing through. Its strong against water, its natural ability to prevent water from passing through it whilst passing through water itself is a reason for this. However its weak against lightning. The lightning conducted along the earth causes it to break up, lose its natural composition and break down due to the penetrative abilities of Raiton. Doton can either be used in this solid rocky form or its adhesive mud-like variant, granting the element further versatility. As well as the conventional uses of the element, the mud variant can be used to bind opponents in place, clash with other elemental jutsus or be used in many effective combinations. The mud-variant is most commonly used along with Fire to form pseudo-lava (molten mud), making for a very dangerous substance.

Along with Suiton, its versatility stems from the state of matter it naturally occurs in. Due to having physical substance, Doton can be shaped into various structures from defensive walls to jagged spikes, from an earth dragon to a single pillar of earth. Furthermore, in terms of terrain-based advantage, Doton can be used to manipulate the ground beneath and around the opponent, allowing for limitless potential in creating successful combos. I like to think of the element as the perfect balance between offensive, defensive and supplementary usage, as no confines exist on what the user can create.

Wind Release is the element that allows us to create and manipulate wind. When you think of wind you think of something that is fast, free flowing, unpredictable, and strong. In the Narutoverse and in our RP, wind release has a variety of different properties which makes it versatile in its own right. For one, we have the ability to create long and short powerful gusts of flowing wind. Mainly these techniques that are designed to provide resistance against oncoming attacks, reversing the trajectory of weaponry, etc. We can also create short concentrated/compressed bursts of wind that give a pseudo solid form which can be used for blunt force or strong impacts. These would mainly be offensive in nature. There is also vacuum or suction power that can be generated, drawing objects in for close combat or sucking away the oxygen for suffocation. However, one of the more prominent abilities of wind release that we’ve come to know from the Narutoverse is the powerful cutting power that it possesses. Mainly from characters like Naruto, Asuma, and Sora, the wind nature has been shown to be able to slice and cut through things like butter. Wind is the movement of many gases in the air, though we’ve been shown to manipulate just the air itself and call it wind release by comparison due to the relationship.

Lightning Release is the use of high frequency and is the most fleeting of all the elements. It arguably takes the most control due to its dangerous nature and the lethality it possess. The interaction of the molecules within it, further contribute to its level of instability, requiring the user to take much more care in handling this element compared to the others. Fundamentally, its the control over raw streams of electricity which can be tamed with the right control, it relates most to the Fire element due to its destruction if not contained or used properly and the high level of self-control someone requires to manipulate it correctly. One common misconception is that Lightning release travels as fast as natural lightning, when in reality Lightning is far slower than its naturally occurring counterpart due the user taking control of/taming the lightning. The element itself occurs in three main forms: Normal Lightning, Plasma and pale-blue pillars which emit electricity.

Fire Release is the usage of superheated chakra to create flames and heat-intensive attacks. Its created through channeling Katon chakra to the user's lungs and exhaling the built chakra in various forms. Katon is most commonly used in its fire-based form, but it can also take the shape of a plume of superheated ash or a misty flammable gas. In terms of raw potential, its considered the least versatile element as it excels in offensive capabilities, lacks in supplementary usage and is ill-suited to use as a defensive element. Despite this, Katon is the most ferocious element to contend with due to its sheer raw power. The heat of the element makes it capable of reducing earthen structures to molten mud, the parasitic nature of it means it preys on the oxygen within wind-based attacks to supplement the flames and even against its elemental superior, large-scale Katon techniques are capable of reducing large bodies of water to scorching mist of dense steam. The Katon element has little usage outside of destruction, to a certain degree its the hardest elemental nature to tame due to its sporadic and uncontrollable nature.

Alright, come over here and place your outstretched palms upon the surface of this water source. After you do that, begin focusing your suiton chakra into it, before using that same chakra to generate a small wave of water, sending it towards a nearby tree. Once you become more acquainted with this technique, try to extract a sphere of water, aiming to maintain its form and structure, before stabilizing it and placing it back into the water source.

(Suiton No Jutsu) - Water technique
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary/Attack/Defence
Range: Short-Mid
Damage Points:20
Description: Creates small waves of water, small blasts, and small shields of water.
Note: Doesn't require a water source but can be used to manipulate existing water.

Key Points: Alongside its Earth counterpart, it is among the most useful lower ranking techniques in the jutsu list. Its versatility is seemingly infinite, as this technique can create nearly any water-based construct you desire, as long as its small in magnitude and size. Its best used for making waves, small tools, weapons ad shields.

(Kirigakure No Jutsu) - Hidding in Mist Jutsu
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Long
Chakra Cost: 10
Damage Points: N/A
Description: This displacement technique creates a thick mist to spring forth by lifting up some water from either a pre-existing source or expelled from their mouth, then goes in and out of sight at will from within the pearly-white realm. The mist's thickness is controlled by the amount of chakra kneaded into it. It can't fool the Byakugan, but, due to the mist being created with the user's chakra, any Sharingan and Rinnegan-user will see the mist coloured by their opponent's chakra, which will effectively hide the user from the dōjutsu.
Note: Can be created through releasing from mouth or manipulating a nearby water source.

Once you've completed that, I'd like you to come over and begin channeling your suiton chakra into your lungs, building up a sufficient amount of it before releasing it from your mouth in the form of a thick chakra-inufsed mist. The mist will mask your position, allowing you to move more stealthily but deprive you of your sense of sight, making this a very double-edged technique.

Instead of giving you Key points for this jutsu, I'd like you to tell me everything you can infer from this jutsu, tactics you/others could employ with it as well as the strengths and weaknesses of this jutsu.

Also, you are free to ask questions on it.

(Suiton No Jutsu) - Water technique

*Godric goes near the water source and places his palms over the water surface. He focuses his Suiton Chakra on the water and tries to create some movement of the water using his chakra. At first nothing happens but after a couple of mins a small wave is created in the water source because of Godric's Suiton Chakra. He focuses even more on the water source to maipulate the water with his chakra and more and more waves of water start forming and the water waves are pushed to the near by tree. Then Godric tries to extract some of the water from the source and give it the form of a sphere. At first the water simply rises on reacting to Godric’s Suiton Chakra and again falls down. "Focus. Focus" Godric tells himself. He closes his eyes, takes a deep breath and shifts his entire focus on forming the water sphere. He successfully extracts water but it is not exactly in a spherical shape at first. He focuses even more to give the extracted water a proper spherical shape and after a couple of mins the water forms a sphere. He tries to keep the water in the spherical form and does so successfully and after around 5 mins of maintaining the water in the sphere form he finally and slowly places it back into the water source making it loose its shape and mix again with the water source.*

(Kirigakure No Jutsu) - Hidding in Mist Jutsu

*Godric stands where Sensei asks him to. Then Godric begins channeling his Suiton Chakra into his lungs and form chakra infused mist. Once he is done manipulating enough chakra and form chakra infused mist then he spews the mist out of his mouth and surrounds him hiding his true position*

Key Points - The mist hides the shinobi from the opponent's eyes. Only Byakugan users can see through the mist. The user can either escape if the opponent it too strong for him or can take advantage of the mist to sneak attack and kill the opponent. I think lightning attacks might work well in the mist since lightning will quickly travel through the mist. The mist can be blown away by an appropriate wind attack. This technique might not work against Sensors since a sensor can easily track down the opponent's movements. (My second Bio is a Sensor type and I would be grateful if you give me tips on how to use sensory abilities in combination with Suiton and other techs.)

General RP Question

Can you pls tell me about the one hand seal and increased speed hand seal rules and how it works? I mean I get what increased speed of hand seals is but to what extent can it make a difference in a battle. For example I am a Sensor and my opponent is an MS user. I can sense the pressure in his eye before he uses Amaterasu. Now if I were to use an earth wall or some earth tech to protect myself and block the amaterasu before it reaches me, how fast will I be able to protect myself or how long will the amaterasu will have travelled by the time -
1. I use Earth Element with one hand seal and create a earth wall to block it or
2. I use Earth Element with increased hand seals speed and create a earth wall to block it
as soon as I sense my opponent's chakra pressure increasing in his eye.

That was quick O.O'

While a Shinobi is capable of moulding their chakra i.e. their physical and spiritual energies to achieve simple tasks like tree climbing and water walking, chakra can also be given a shape by manipulation. For example of an orb in Rasengan, a string in case of puppetry. Advanced mastery of chakra can help the Shinobi to manipulate it to one or more of the basic five elements - Earth,Fire,Wind,Water,Lightning. They can transform their chakra into these elements. Nature manipulation can be pretty useful during battles. Earth and Water can be used to change the terrain. Fire and wind can be used to change the temperatures in the battle field. Lightning can be used to change the terrain as well (a rocky one since earth is weak to lightning).

So both Shape and Nature manipulation are types of molding chakra as to give chakra specific characteristics. Nature manipulation refers to type of molding chakra in which you give chakra a desired set of characteristics or properties. When it comes to fire release, you'd focus onto heatness, when it comes to wind release you'd focus onto sharpness and thinness, when it comes to lighting release you'd focus onto vibration and tingling and when it comes to water release you'd focus onto coolness, adaptability as well as flexibility... Whereas Shape manipulation refers to type of molding chakra in which you give chakra desired form.

So when it comes to my trainings. I don't have any specific template that you can fill but as we go through the techniques, just answer questions I might have for you. Also keep in mind that whilst performing techniques I'd like for you to mention both shape and nature manipulation. If you don't have any questions we can proceed?

For the next technique focus suiton chakra within your dominant hand. As you do so release the chakra using nature manipulation as to generate water and shape manipulation forming a sword. Now keep in mind that once you form the sword within your hand you will be pretty vulnerable to lighting attacks. You can use the water sword in the same way as you are using normal ones.

(Suiton: Mizu Kuri No Yaiba) - Water Style: Sword of Draining
Rank: D
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 10
Damage Points: 20
Description: A technique that utilizes water to create a sword. The sword can be wielded in the normal fashion, allowing the ninja to cut and stab like with a normal blade.
Note: Doesn't require a water source.

Sherlock stretches out his right hand in a way that he's holding a sword in his hand. He closes his eyes and visualises wielding a sword. He then begins moulding his chakra and focuses all his energy towards forming the sword. He manipulates his chakra into water and shapes it in the form of a sword. At first the newly shaped water chakra looks anything but a sword. Focus harder. Sherlock tells himself and tries harder to visualise wielding a sword. Making the picture in his mind clearer and focuses more in shaping the water chakra exactly like the picture of the sword in his mind. He finally succeeds in shaping his water chakra into a sword. Well that wasn't really difficult. He casually remarks.

Super!

Once again focus suiton chakra within your dominant hand. Once chakra is there, release it whilst using nature manipulation as to generate water and shape manipulation to form a shield. This shield is good to be used against projectile weapons as well as close combat techniques.

( Suiton: Junsai no Jutsu ) - Water Release: Water Shield Technique
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary, Defence
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 10
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user will manipulate their water chakra and releasing it from their arm which is held outwards infront of them and they then create a shield of water that can aide in defence against projectile weapons and close combat techniques.

"Ah its a shield this time. I feel like a Knight with a sword and a shield", said Sherlock smiling. He closed his eyes and this time visualised holding a shield in his left hand. The shield was large and round, and had a handle at the center back for Sherlock to hold it. Sherlock made sure this time to visualize it clearly from the start. Then he focused on his chakra just like the last time, transformed it into water chakra and this time shaped it into a large circular shield. He held the shield in his left hand and said, "Hmm. This is rather handy. Pretty useful to quickly counter low ranked fireballs."

Wonderful job!

Now let's go onto C ranks O^O

For this next technique focus suiton chakra within one of your hands as you perform sequence of 3 hand seals. Rat → Dog → Ox. Once finished with seals release the chakra from the hand using nature manipulation as to generate water and shape manipulaiton forming a whip. Take a hold of my clone with it! :whip:

(Suiton: Suiben) - Water Release: Water whip
Rank: C
Type: Offensive, supplementary
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: After the user performs a series of 3 hand seals Rat → Dog → Ox, the user creates a whip of water that can be used to strike the opponent with a lashing action or wrap around the target to bind them. This technique can also have lightning techniques channeled through when they have bound their victim with the water whip.

Now tell me what is speed of performance when it comes to this jutsu as well as why would you rate it as such speed. When judging the speed of performance I'd like for you to take into account the amount of time it is needed for preparation of technique as well as time in which it reaches opponent. Hand seals take quite some time and thus make a technique slower to perform. Speed can be either Slow,Medium or Fast. Tell me what are advantages and disadvantages of this technique as well?

Sherlock performs the Rat → Dog → Ox handseals and focuses his chakra into his right hand. He transforms his chakra into water chakra and shapes it like a whip. He lashes the whip at your clone and binds you quickly within the whip.

I'd rate this jutsu as fast when used at a short distance. It requires only 3 hand seals and it doesn't require a water source. So if I'm at short distance from my target, I can pretty much perform 3 hand seals without any water source easily and form a water whip to bind them quickly. At mid distance, I'd say this tech is medium, simply because it will take sometime for the whip to reach the opponent and the opponent can take counter measures in that brief time period.

Advantages
- Restricts the opponent's movements.
- Can be very effective when used with Lightning.
- Quick when used at short distance.

Disadvantages
- If the bound opponent uses a lightning tech which doesn't require hand seals, we can get a shock as we are holding the whip.
- Not very quick at mid distances.

Nice job!

This next technique is a variation of water, sticky adhesive syrup. Focus suiton chakra within your mouth and gullet as you perform a sequence of two hand seals. Ram, then Tiger. Release the chakra from your mouth using nature and shape manipulation as to generate sticky, adhesive liquid which is capable of inhibiting a person's mobility. To avoid getting caught up so to speak you can focus chakra onto your feet beforehand and thus normaly walk onto the syrup.

(Suiton: Mizuame Nababara) - Water Style: Starch Syrup Capture Field
Rank: C
Range: Short/Long
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user After performing the required hand seals Ram → Tiger spits out high-viscosity, chakra infused water, aimed at a surface of wide scope. This is a stream of sticky liquid which can be used to form an adhesive trap that can inhibit a person's mobility. One can effectively reduce their enemy's area of activity with this technique, and has the effect of being able to take complete control over the battlefield. The normal scope of this technique is normally just a few metres, but if prepared, it is also possible to make an entire pond of starch syrup. Being caught in the technique can be avoided by channelling chakra to one's feet allowing one to walk upon it uninhibited, beforehand.

Speed? Adv/Disadv?

Sherlock performs Ram → Tiger hand seals and spits out a sticky adhesive chakra infused water syrup on the ground. The syrup can make the opponent immobile if caught in it.

I'd rate this as a fast technique. Requires two handseals and no water source. Its pretty handy as it can make the opponent immobile temporarily and we have a brief time period to make our next move. I'd love to use this immediately after using a Genjutsu on the opponent. By the time my opponent figures he's in a Genjutsu and comes out of it, I'll have restricted his physical movements with this tech and then I'll go ahead and use a lightning tech that sends lightning through the ground to shock the opponent or a projectile would do too.

Advantages
- Restricts the opponents movements.
- Makes them vulnerable to lightning attacks.
- Can be very easy to use if timed well after a Genjutsu.
- The opponent is vulnerable to projectiles as well.

Disadvantages
- Requires the opponent to stand still at a place even if it is just for a moment. i.e. to use this tech successfully the user needs a window or that brief moment which is normally not so easy to create in a battle.
